Ask hygiene903!
He has some Convertibles that I am interested in, and I have been trying to get pictures of them, but he hasn't replied since he offered the machines on Vacuumland. If he has more than one machine with a wrap-around headlight, ask him to save one for you. I would not mind that...
My favorite carpet lines are the ones produced by the Hoover Convertible! I also notice that the newer Koblenz Endurance Vacuum Cleaners produce almost the same Hoover lines, even though they are made like Eureka Uprights.
I think the Miele Canisters are the best available. They have a wide variety of power nozzles and are very quiet, about as quiet as a 1960s Hoover Convertible (which is saying a lot)!
@hygiene903:
Before I email you, I must mention that I am not a paid member of the VCCC, therefore, I am not allowed to purchase them directly through the VCCC. Which models do you have, and could you post some pictures of them please? Thank you!
It's a cleaner on my want list, but too expensive for me. It's up for grabs!

I must apologize for continuous complaints, but I must say that I have spent quite a while wiping the armature off with a dry cloth towel and I still cannot get the "ash" off the armature. Is the only option at this point to sand it or is there something else that I should do?
I just took another look at the motor, and, while there was no oil there, there was some smoky, sooty, ash-like substance on the armature and the end of the brushes. Does this change anyone's opinion, and how exactly should I clean it?
