The horrible truth about central vacuum systems and why every non-Canadian millennial hates them.

I think you need to take a break man, you are just looking for ways to get upset and offended at this point.

This is such a confusing reply lol. I don't even know what you are trying to say. You asked a question and I answered it — is there something else going on here for you?

The horrible truth about central vacuum systems and why every non-Canadian millennial hates them.

You answered your question earlier in your comment. Cordless cleaner heads are small because of their limited power budget to work with. All else equal, a larger head needs more power to achieve the same air speeds at the cleaning interface. To get the same level of vaguely defined cleaning...

Don't forget the small cleaning heads that cordless usually have. That's going to add a significant amount of time to the job. Then when you have ones that leave an uncleaned strip in the middle of the cleaning path, forcing you to overlap by over 50%, that plus the already small head is going...

The horrible truth about central vacuum systems and why every non-Canadian millennial hates them.

Every week, in an effort to be more environmentally friendly, I put a few shovelsful of dirt from my yard into my garbage bin so that it can be taken to the landfill where it belongs.

Excellent point — we certainly wouldn't want to get any dirt outside.

So most of what you said wasn't really on topic or relevant... I'm confused who are are talking to. One thing that did stand out though - Your repeated claim about air quality. At this point I'm not even sure if you know what a central vacuum is or how it works.

Nobody is attacking him here. There is no need to defend him. You brought him up in this thread unprompted. If we can move on from that, here are the comments I made in reply to you earlier. Do you have any thoughts?

I didn't say that, but it would be nice to read them.

I would like to supportively challenge you to not say "Vacuum Facts" every single comment. Instead, maybe address - with your own thoughts - those three points I brought up.

The horrible truth about central vacuum systems and why every non-Canadian millennial hates them.

You seem to be a bit confused about this topic. Could you give a brief list of the 'so many ways' that cordless vacuums are better than central? Regarding power — there are no cordless options that match a central vacuum. I don't even know where you got that idea. Regarding filtration —...

    Pick your poison: Main equivalency!

Your descriptor of the option is a bit much for me to agree with lol. The poll would have been better without the commentary in the list. There's only one vote so far - maybe remake it? If you do remake it, I'd add an option for tool brands, and change "knock-off" to other. Also, does Kirby...

    Pick your poison: Main equivalency!

Not on the list, but if I were to get a cordless vacuum, I would get one that fits in my existing tool battery ecosystem (Makita, Milwaukee, Ryobi, etc). I wouldn't be surprised if those performed worse than some on your poll, but you are already getting inferior performance by choosing...

It would be much more interesting to hear what you think about the subject rather than what you think Vacuum Facts thinks about the subject.

How to oil bearings of a FH52000 Hoover steamer/carpet cleaner/shampooer?

Sleeves can be used on larger motors as well, but it's less common. The type of sound you are describing from the wires does exist, but in these applications it's going to be fairly insignificant, especially since the armature wires are covered in varnish.

The most frustrating vacuum video on Youtube.

Sealed suction is easier than airflow for central vacuums since there is no pressure loss in the pipes and hose when there is no airflow. Central vacuums commonly do 100+ in.H2O. The motor I just put in mine is rated for 152 in.H2O, although I'm not getting quite that right now since I have some...

    Central vacuum

I'm not talking about a difference in restriction between the two, I am talking about the intentionally created restriction that directs the airflow to the area being cleaned. That particular restriction can definitely be assumed to be the same between the two types of vacuums.

    Central Vac DIY Questions

The efficiencies will also give you a vague comparison of waste heat generated by the units. I'd generally expect a more efficient motor to last longer, especially regarding harder to repair heat-related failures. I wonder if a shift toward brushless is going to happen any time in the near...

    Central vacuum

Personally, my favorite thing about central vacuums is that you can vent the exhaust air outside, but regarding performance, yes, you will be getting more cleaning power at the end of the hose in most situations. Usually when using a vacuum, you will be creating a restriction around the area...
