Few will remember me - but I'm back!

I've heard of it, never known what it was. That 3800 Series II was the best V6 GM ever derived. Tons of torque on the low rpm band, doesn't have to work at all to get 3,600 lbs moving:)

Welcome to the New Junior Forum

Thanks so much for the forum Robert! I'm back after a brief lack of any interest in vacuums - the depression has ended and they keep on coming in one at a time!

Few will remember me - but I'm back!

Thanks for the advice on the bulbs kirbykid! I just soldered new ones into the board yesterday and it looks beautiful again! For me shipping it as one unit is just too much. I can't find a suitable box. I'll take your advice and keep looking for one however. By the way - despite gas being...

Few will remember me - but I'm back!

During the time of owning your GTO were you so lucky to have random backlighting issues on the instrumentation/radio? I just pulled the radio out of my Bonneville to replace the display bulbs. It's a huge pain, but also not being able to see information/stations is even more so.

Few will remember me - but I'm back!

Would that ever be nice! Sorry you had to let it go. I got my bonny for $2, 500 with 109, xxx miles. It books at $4, 9xx. The guy was down on his luck so I bought it.

    Your "Dream car".

I'd have to say a 2005 Buick Park Avenue Ultra with the 3800 Series II supercharged, or an Acura MDX.

Few will remember me - but I'm back!

Hey guys! I haven't been around in quite some time - but some updates on my collection/being 16. First off, I'm getting rid of my Kirby GSix in pieces (handle, motor unit, floor nozzle, bag, and shampooer/instruction VHS. I can't justify walking into the Post Office wrestling a box gargantuan...

    Rainbow "Gold Series" Motor Question

Also, thanks so much for that link. Truly an awesome source!

    Rainbow "Gold Series" Motor Question

It would be coming from Craigslist. It has the gold series "wave" type pattern on it. I am unsure if I will buy it though as it would need to be shipped to me, meaning I'd be blindly sending money - never a secure option. I'll wait for one local I guess, despite how badly I want it.

    Rainbow "Gold Series" Motor Question

How much should I pay foe a gold two speed with all attachments and the aquamate one? Is $250 shipping included a good deal? Also how much would it cost me to get an aquamate three to work with it? Sorry if I just hijacked this thread.

    Hoover Elite Commercial C1404

I wish I could buy two. I have enough money for 10+, but it will be used for my first car in the coming months, which admittedly is more important. I am sorry if I came off a bit strong to anyone in my last 2 posts. I just wanted to nip a possible dispute before it got any worse.

    Hoover Elite Commercial C1404

***Correction before I get jumped on... $43.84 Bissell Powerforce Helix at WalMart ;)

    Hoover Elite Commercial C1404

I'm sure it was a hasty generalization and he didn't mean it. We all get the point he was trying to make though. A $49 Bissell Powerforce bagless will most likely be outlasted by the American made Hoover Elite, when they are both properly maintained and babied. I was considering contradicting...

    Hoover Elite C1404

That's good to hear that it grooms well. It is often times hard to judge noise by video. I just hope I can get one before the supply runs out!

    Hoover Elite C1404

Pardon my language, but damn those poor factory workers must have been pissed! Is it really too much to ask of Hoover to make one model here, where it all started? I bet every body there felt let down. Isn't there rumors of a factory in Texas, though? I guess we'll have to see how everything...

    Hoover Elite C1404

Also Is it very noisy? I know most Elites are prone to having that plasticy rattle, worn out sound. Does it sound smooth out of the box? Again, thank you for the help.

    Hoover Elite C1404

Awesome! Attachments can always be hunted down later anyway. Once my Kirby sells on eBay I should have the money to buy one. Sadly I am only allowed one upright at a time.

    Hoover Elite C1404

On Hoover's website, the commercial Elite is seen with a hose and tools. Being the industrious person I am, I ran multiple searches through the archives to come to a conclusion. Some say this new Elite's attachment port is merely a spare belt pocket, others say it is indeed an attachment port...
