    Pick your poison: Main equivalency!

Cyclones can develop smells too. I don't buy the idea of bags being particularly bad for the environment when you're still dumping the dirt from a bagless bin into the trash. It all goes to the same place where it's in your house garbage bag or your vacuum's bag. Any airflow/suction loss of a...

    Pick your poison: Main equivalency!

Henry Quick solely based on it being bagged. Far less messy to dump and no cyclone assembly means less maintenance plus no complicated airpath that reduces airflow, therefore better for performance (a big deal on something with a small battery powered motor). I'd love one but the only drawback...

    Dyson engineering ineptitude and complacency

I have a DC21 in my collection. I've had almost all the earlier non-Ball Dysons and of all those the the 21 is one of the better cleaners. Its got a ton of power too 55" working water lift/110" sealed water lift. I've had the later DC23 Motorhead as well which performed similarly. The primary...

    Best vacuum

Best is definitely a central vac. Nothing beats it in terms of raw power. But for a non-CV it's a tie between the Sebo Airbelt D4 and the Lindhaus HF6 for me. Leaning more toward the Sebo because of the handle controls and the hose is much nicer than the electric hose that comes with the HF6...

    Pick your poison: Main equivalency!

God, OP I am so ****ing sick of the non-stop spam garbage and constant berating towards members of this forum from you and Vacuum "Facts" when we don't agree with you. This place was far better before you two showed up.

    Favorite central/canister cleaning head?

Seconding Lindhaus power nozzles. I've had a couple HF6s with PB14s and a PB12e on an Aria Platinum, they're all fantastic. The standard PB12 comes with a single-chevron brush roll but the variant included with the Aria Platinum comes with a dual-chevron brush roller that improves the cleaning...

    What is your favourite kirby

The early Generation models are my favorite (G3/4/5). Their design and look (color schemes) were so emblematic of the early-mid 1990s and as someone born in that era they bring me great nostalgia. I remember those being around as a very young vacuum enthusiast. One of my uncles actually had a...

    Riccar R-40 P2 Upright - good/bad?

I find it intriguing from an engineering aspect and would like to have at least one in my collection as a piece of vacuum history. But from all the test I've seen people do I don't find it to be a big enough jump in airflow/suction power to justify the complexity. A single motor clean air...

    Riccar R-40 P2 Upright - good/bad?

Gotcha. I've definitely noticed I hear about less problems with the older Tandem Air units vs the newer models. The ones made after about 2019 ish seem to be the worst offenders in terms of reliability.

    Riccar R20 Ultra Premium acquisition

It's a very nice machine, pretty solid and I get a kick out of this much power coming from a Vibrance. The Simplicity 7850 has been the upright at the top of my list that I've been after lately. Also been looking for a Tandem Air of some sort; been on a bit of a Tacony kick lately. I have a...

    Riccar R-40 P2 Upright - good/bad?

Are you referring to the current style R40 with the Synergy dual headlights or teal blue Radiance R40P.2 that was sold just before then?

    Riccar R20 Ultra Premium acquisition

Picked up a Riccar R20UP from an estate auction. Won it for $25 Came with the original manual and a box of EnviroCare bags. Whole machine was filthy but the motor sounded good. After a strip down/bath and a new set of filters it works beautifully! Has tons of suction thanks to the big dual stage...

    Simplicity date code

Thank you very much! I didn't realize they made the 7850 for that long. I knew they stopped making them around early 2014 but was thinking they came out around 2006/2007.

    Simplicity date code

Is there a way to tell the manufacture date within the serial number of a Simplicity machine, specifically the 7 Series 7850? I'm looking at some used ones and would like to be able to tell how old they are.

    Better than a carpet washer!

And who are you? Some schmuck on the internet with a cordless Dyson and computer to make fancy graphs that look nice but are full of nonsense. What qualifications do you have in the industry that gives you the ability to sufficiently claim they're biased or their methods are "unscientific"...

    Riccar R27

Definitely like the black better. But if it means improving quality and reliability then thats a worthy trade off. Apparently the PCB and electronics have been redesigned so we'll see if they're better. I've also heard they removed the handle spring which was a popular mod on the R25 to add more...

Not even soap and a rag, this whole thread is a not-so-thinly veiled attempt to push Dyson Zorb

+1. His YouTube channel is full of blatant falsehoods that he 'backs up' by gish-galloping a ton of data into the viewer's face that that either doesn't actually support his claims or if it does prove his claim he inflates said claim's importance. I can see he's now come here to try it, which is...
