    Info on Electrolux Attachment

Yup, that's a US spec Shag tool. I've been looking all over for one.

Great Electrolux Vacuums. Who has a great picture?

I want to see a few pictures of the shag tool! :)

    Best Electrolux power nozzle series?

I've got a Diamond Jubilee with PN5, a Hoover Tempo, a single rug that needs to be vacuumed. I'm tired of keeping the Tempo around for one lousy rug, but the PN5 is pretty awful at removing cat hair. If I was to replace the PN5 with a different PN series, what would likely be my best choice?

    Metropolitan Vacuums

    > Metropolitan also makes small version for cars Hm, I wonder if the 12-volt version is worth what it costs. Probably not, but I really want a worthwhile vacuum for my car - living in an apartment makes finding a free 110V outlet outdoors quite difficult...

I'm pretty sure electrolux type c bags are NOT a rare find....

My grandmother had a cache of 50 Electrolux-branded bags for her Diamond J (half yellow-top, half grey). It's going to be a looooooong time before I run out.

    Does the world need this???

Seems like a good idea, if it's cheap, seeing as all it does is hook into your central vac system.

    Paper or Cloth?

I got a pile of 50 genuine Electrolux bags with my Diamond J, so yes, paper for me (not that one has a choice on those machines). :)

Just had to tell someone interested (Aerus Lus Classic)

    > I don't mean to cast aspersions on all Canadians, just several hundred that are on my enemies list) Several HUNDRED? O_o

Santa was OK to me ; )

Is that still the turbo-powered Sidekick II, or is it back to being electric?

    Worth Saving?

Best of luck selling that! I saw it in a black friday flyer, brand new, for $19.99. May as well save yourself the trouble and toss it.

Hoover constellation dent, how to fix?

Yeah, Paintless Dent Repair (PDR) might be an interesting option. See if you can track down a local, trusted, independent guy (ask your local used car dealer or check yelp) and see if he's up for a challenge.

    Elux System 90 Find...Free!

A bunch of enterprising C=64 hackers (C64s turn brown with age) managed to figure out that a mix of Hydrogen Peroxide and OxiClean is amazing at de-yellowing ABS plastic. See http://retr0bright.wikispaces.com/ for more info! http://retr0bright.wikispaces.com/

What is the most $$ you've spend buying or rebuilding an old vacuum?

I think I've sunk about $70 into my Lux Diamond J, but all I've really bought is a Sidekick and a new hose.

    Look at this posting!

Item condition: New More than 10 available Selling all would net him over $888.00! So he's expecting to really "clean up" so to speak XD

    LUX PN 2

Can someone possibly do a lineup of all the Lux PNs? I know what 1, 4, and 5 look like, but I'm fuzzy on 2, 3 and 6.

    Electrolux Canister w/Power Nozzle

I don't use my Sidekick I as much as I thought I would, but it is really, really handy to have. It's amazing at convincing cat hair to let go of various surfaces.

    LUX hoses

You can also get hoses from GoVacuum or Hesco without having to sign up as a business.

    Golden J Repair Question

I did a teardown of my Diamond J a while back and took photos - I imagine the Golden J is much the same. At the state you're in, the bag compartment should just lift out (after unhooking that vacuum line you see on the outside running to the cord winder in the back), and to get any farther you...

"vintage vacuum armaid handheld style instructions RARE"

I visited that store when I was in St. Louis (it's now a Macys), it was rather depressing. In fact, downtown St. Louis as a whole is depressing, there's barely anything there anymore.

"Perfect" have come to the UK...

Interesting that they kept the US flag on all of them in Britain. I'm not sure why it's there over here, either, as all of their stuff is made in China! :)
