    Dyson DC17 Filter Cover Issue

NIck, I would suggest buying a used filter cover. It won't seal properly to the filter if the cover isn't holding it down properly. But, I would suggest strongly that you use your filter cover, if you buy one, to use to make a 3D model and have one 3D printed. That way you have one that's of new...

    What Do I Have?

Vacerator - That is NOT a Hospital G! Clearly, as the poster says, it is a Automatic F with some upgrades. Abobotek - Those parts are definitely replacement parts. Since your flip over floor tool does not match, I would suspect that someone scrapped a Automatic E and added the floor tool and...

    Simplicity date code

Contact Dysonman1, he used to work for Tacony Corporation. If I remember correctly though, the first 2 digits have something to do with the year and time of year a vacuum was manufactured.

    "Happy birthday, HOOVER"

John, nice pics of your trip and your collection. I have been using my Hoover Windtunnel Anniversary Edition S3670 canister now exclusively for a little over a year now, so at least my home is HOOVER Clean :)

    Better than a carpet washer!

Oh Alan, our Administrator....Look, can you PLEASE ban Vacuum Facts and remove him from the forum? He is trying my patience here reading his uttterly RUDE remarks! And I am sure most of us in this conversation feel the same way. He needs to go NOW.

    Better than a carpet washer!

Vacuum Facts - Briguy is right, carpet extraction with hot water and soap is the only method approved by the Carpet and Rug Institute in North America. I think that fact alone PROVES your information is false! And to be quite frank, you're a bit of a joke in the collecting community and on...

How do I remove the fan cover on my Bissell Powerforce (71Y7)?

Alex, I like your idea about using a air compressor to clean out your Powerforce motor. Years ago, I was given a Eureka Maxima bagged upright that still worked, but was VERY NOISY and had hardly any suction due to being used without a bag and pre motor filter. Took it apart, and used my TriStar...

Electrolux Canister vacuum G series auction

That is one sweet Model G! The best part is, with the hammertone gray paint job, you could upgrade and modernize That Lux very easily with accessories from the Silverado, a nice aftermarket hose, and perhaps a Silverado pn4, pn5 or the current black Aerus Classic black wand and pn.

BrandSpark Canadian Trust Study of Vacuum Cleaners

This has NOTHING to do with my emotions or opinions! And the one who is the bully here is YOU! Vacuum Facts, you are rude, disrespectful and bullying in your posts and replies to others here on this site. The fact you made this post is PROOF of what I am talking about! You come across in this...

BrandSpark Canadian Trust Study of Vacuum Cleaners

Webmaster Alan, can we please have Vacuum Facts deleted and banned from this forum entirely and permanently?! Look, this post was meant ENTIRELY to antagonize members of the vacuum collecting community! The fact he doesn't even mention which brand it was that was dominant for 12 years is PROOF...

    Electrolux model g help

In that case, your only choice would be to remove the tubing and disconnect it from the control valve entirely. It's likely the control valve needs replacing entirely. While there is one for the 2100, Epic 6500 and Aerus Legacy, it's probably different enough not to fit the Model G.

    Electrolux model g help

Stephen, when you say you replaced the "tubing", are you referring to the clear tubing inside the bag door that hooks up to the control valve? If you haven't opened up the bag door and checked that tubing, do so now. Also, try running a small twist tie through the control valve openings, it may...

    Buying powernozzle in Europe

Cheesewonton, that's why I suggested linus2003 would need to use a metal Miele tool adapter on the end of the wand, so the wand would fit a 32 mm powerhead neck. And who knows if they do sell the Perfect battery PN in Europe, but I bet not since European countries don't have many canisters with...

    Buying powernozzle in Europe

I second Cheesewonton's suggestions. I would also suggest another solution, though, that may be more practical for your other vacuums too - a battery powernozzle. Wessel Werk makes one as the EBK360, which comes with it's own wand where the battery is stored. Another more practical one would be...

Found this in a loft of property I just bought. Any thoughts on a value? Or should I donate to museum etc?

Welcome! That's a very nice early electric stick vacuum. I would donate it to a museum - it looks like a reproduction of the bag will have to be made since it's got a couple patches on it already, and due to the age of the cleaner it will need to be rewired for sure.

Antoine, report that dealer to Aerus Corporate! They won't like hearing a dealer being rude to customers!

    Aerus/LuxInternational discontinuation?

Cheesewonton, you obviously have NOT done your homework on European filtration! If you had, you would see there are actually THREE different standards: Type A, Type B and Type C. Type A filters capture 99.97% of particles that are 0.3 microns in diameter. Type B filters capture 99.999% of...

    Aerus/LuxInternational discontinuation?

Dave, I totally agree with you! Aerus won't be able to compete with Miele and Sebo if they don't have a HEPA Filter on their TOL model. Assuming the Platinum is truly gone, the sealed internals from the Guardian Ultra should be used in the Legacy, and redesign the top tool caddy/filter cover to...

New Miele Guard Series Now Available in Canada!

Brian, unfortunately yes your warranty would not be valid in Canada on a American model Miele vacuum. I looked at the Miele.ca website, and also watched Performance Reviews video on it. It looks like there are only 3 powerhead models now - The Guard S1, Guard L1 in Nordic Blue, and the Guard...

    Goodwill Finds.

In that 1st pic with the G5, there is a Patriot vacuum wand in behind. So there must be the rest of the vacuum somewhere. I would definitely pick that up, they are great canisters!
