    Bags for Electro Hygiene canister

Gary, with a bag that large, you will most likely have to cut open and use a central vac bag if you prefer a HEPA Cloth bag. If you fold the bag over the edge of the outer cloth bag, that should form enough of a seal when you put the top on and clamp it down.

    Electrolux E-2000 question mark light

Great! My partner and I have a nice cold window AC running and a box fan so we are staying cool as well. Supposed to stay hot till Tuesday night, so we are staying in till then!

    Compact Electra interstate blue

That would make sense Antoine. They did change & up the amps on the Ametek motor used in the Compact when they changed the name to TriStar. I currently am running a Hoover Windtunnel Anniversary Edition S3670, and I also have a Miracle Mate Mark 1 that has the original GS Electric motor from...

    Electrolux E-2000 question mark light

Aww thanks Antoine. Appreciate the validation my fellow member :). Have a great night and hope you're surviving this heat wave we are having right now.

    Compact Electra interstate blue

Nice job restoring your Compact Antoine! Which motor did you use, the Ametek 116311? I always take some rubbing alcohol and remove any scuffs from my daily driver to keep it in good shape and do any minor repairs needed.

    Electrolux E-2000 question mark light

Nikita, that question mark light comes on if you have no bag installed - it's a failsafe to protect the vacuum from being damaged by dirt due to no bag being in the bag compartment. It could be the bag door contacts have failed. There is a set of 3 prongs that match up to 3 receptacles on the...

Cord Rewind problem on Lux Guardian Platinum

Laura, I would contact your dealer, show them the warranty info in your users manual, and threaten to report them to Aerus for being in violation of their dealer agreement. They are supposed to be honoring the warranty in full on ALL Aerus Electrolux vacuums for the original owner! Your Aerus...

    G E Rolleasy vacuum bags

Sorry this didn't work out for you John.

    Riccar R27

Ant_Tenna, I agree with you! That is what I have heard mainly. Also, it seems that they were attempting a Electrolux-style upright, with some Singer touches like the front headlight mounted in the bumper. But, unfortunately, poorly executed. Like the small bag and the fact they didn't make the...

    RIP old Vacuumland.

Ya know what? Yes, I was a bit shocked and saddened at first to see the old Vacuumland go away. But, now that I have gotten used to the new website, I like it. And more importantly, I see that Alan, our new Administrator, is listening to us, responding, and making some changes based on what...

    Riccar R27

Hank - Yes, that could be the case. But, knowing Tacony, I would be willing to bet the real reason they are moving production to Vietnam is quality control issues. The fact they changed the model name and slimmed down to 2 models is proof of it - if there weren't known issues with the R25...

    Electrolux Diamond Jubilee Manual Needed!!!

Carol, all the blower cover does is direct the air to the hose when it's opened. Or when it's closed, makes the air go through the slots on the machine top. It won't affect your ability to use the Electrolux to vacuum whether it's open or closed.

    Model XXX

Welcome aboard, Kevin! Yes, you can latex the inside of a cloth hose, but like others have said here it is a tedious process to get it right, and can also be expensive. I have also read on here that the process has to be repeated every few years for the hose to remain airtight. What I...

    Kenmore models regained headlamp?

Calvin - Crushproof hoses certainly have been around a long time. But they are NOT truly crushproof! Ever wonder why TriStar, Patriot, Miracle Mate and Riccar/Simplicity canisters have the plastic "hose cuff" at the machine end and handle end of the hose? It's to keep the hose material from...

    Compact C1 for sale

Good luck with the sale, Devin! You did a very nice job refurbishing that old Compact :)

Current Fleet for my Current Place

Dave, that's a nice Daily Driver collection. All very nice choices. But one thing I have heard about that Kenmore Intuition is that the powerhead internal hose breaks too easily. Might not be a bad idea to go on Ebay and buy a spare to have on hand. Although it's a nice machine, the fact that...

    Royal Electro Hygiene Deluxe

Gary, those wands and tools may be from a Princess canister. The first model was white with red trim. It could also be from a Royal upright.

    Is this website legitimate?

I agree with Huskyvacs on this one - items that are no longer available should be removed immediately! Or, if it is left on for reference purposes, the "add to cart" button should be removed and say "this item is discontinued by the manufacturer and no longer available to purchase". By leaving...

    Question About Electrolux Parts Availability

Hank, chances are that black plastic inner door part may still be available, since your Epic 3500 is basically the same as the previous Guardian model before they switched to the Heavy Duty model. Try your local Aerus dealer, they may be able to locate a NOS part for you.

In Honor of US Armed Forces Day

Brian, as one fellow Canadian to another, you got TONS of nerve praising the Americans right now in ANY WAY! When we have that IDIOT of a President to deal with, trying to literally bully us and kill our Canadian economy! And the fact that jackass has even suggested trying to annex Canada as...
