Sanitizor or Sanitron - My Late Grandma Rose's Vacuum Cleaner

Doug, the machine in ........ post #9....... How well does that follow behind when in use? With having the hose inlet off set to the right of the canister, it would seem it might be a bit akward. Was there anything in the design, as in the wheels, that might off set that? Just curious.

    Hoover Senior Ranger U4147 1979

VERY SHARP! Love the plaid bag. However, I'm a sucker for anything plaid. I've been told it's my favorite - color - Anything plaid!

    Kirby G4 'Tech Drive'

Are there any machines in the UK or, I should say, marketed solely to the UK, as Kirby is to the US, that offer options such as the Tech Drive?

    Found a Dial-a-Matic yesterday

They certainly were heavy machines...... They feel like someone poured concrete into the housing. However, there is much missed on these heavy old machines. =/

    Found a Dial-a-Matic yesterday

Hoover Colorist...... They had to have them. They had the BEST color combos. Not to mention all the names for them. Which....I'm not the one to ask. I can't remember my middle name some days! =0/ I "Think" the first power-drive was the blue one, with the little design on the front bag...

    Hoover Celebrity IV Elite

Fred..... That might be an option I never even thought of! But, you are right on the money there. The biggest problems are right at both ends of the hose. At the handle where it curves. I'm sure just from over time. And at the intlet to the canister itself. I'll have to look into that...

    Hoover Celebrity IV Elite

The tools....... Garrett, I was informed were white on my model. I was surprised as Everything else was in creme. I'm half tempted to paint them as they look out of place to me. =0?

    Hoover Celebrity IV Elite

Thanks, Guys! Gary....you're cracking me up! LoL.... John, seriously, you HAVE to try one. It might not be everyone's cup of tea, but I've always been crazy about them. Their perfomance is incredible. On this particular one, the hose is really in bad condition, but try and find a...

    Hoover Celebrity IV Elite

Model S3153 - Picked this up a while ago, but just got it all cleaned up finally. One of my FAVORITE machines. I'd prefer to have the green model, but....... for now, this will have to entertain me.

    Found a Dial-a-Matic yesterday

Very nice find, Gary! Looks like someone had that locked away in a vault. Hoover had a great color palette back in the day.

    Kirby G4

Thank you.......... for all the info., guys! I didn't realize the brush roll was adjustable either. I thought it was odd that they didn't have the set screws anymore. Still lovin' it! =0)

Thanks for the info......... on the Pet Brushroll, guys! I noticed that, too, that the suction is awesome, but I wished the bristles were a little stiffer for better grooming. $5.00, Brian......WOW! =)

    Kirby G4

Thanks guys........ I agree, Joe, they are GREAT. I guess I won't know about the diamond until I find one in the rough, too! Rick, you are SO RIGHT about the tech-drive. In fact, I am engaged to the G4. I'm totally in love. I usually vacuum like Mario Andretti, but this does make me slow...

    Kirby G4

I found this at a local thrift store for $18.00. It was in pretty rough shape, well.....filthy. I gave her a bath and some polish and she looks pretty dang good! I had never used a G series before with the power-assist transmission. I absolutely LOVE it. I didn't know what I was missing.

    Kenmore Upright HD

Thanks for all the help... guys. I appreciate it. I needs a belt, and I was told if I couldn't find one, a DAM belt would work, too. I haven't looked into the bag situation yet, Chase, but thank you! I thought it might have been Singer as well, Bill, but just like Ken said, it is...

    Kenmore Upright HD

I wasn't looking for one of these, but I happend to stumble across this today at a thrift store for $10.00. A little clean up and a new belt and she should be good to go. The bag is in excellent shape and most of the makings on the hood should clean up pretty well. I never paid much...
