Doug, the machine in ........ post #9....... How well does that follow behind when in use? With having the hose inlet off set to the right of the canister, it would seem it might be a bit akward. Was there anything in the design, as in the wheels, that might off set that? Just curious.

They certainly were heavy machines...... They feel like someone poured concrete into the housing. However, there is much missed on these heavy old machines. =/

Hoover Colorist...... They had to have them. They had the BEST color combos. Not to mention all the names for them. Which....I'm not the one to ask. I can't remember my middle name some days! =0/ I "Think" the first power-drive was the blue one, with the little design on the front bag...

Fred..... That might be an option I never even thought of! But, you are right on the money there. The biggest problems are right at both ends of the hose. At the handle where it curves. I'm sure just from over time. And at the intlet to the canister itself. I'll have to look into that...

The tools....... Garrett, I was informed were white on my model. I was surprised as Everything else was in creme. I'm half tempted to paint them as they look out of place to me. =0?

Model S3153 - Picked this up a while ago, but just got it all cleaned up finally. One of my FAVORITE machines. I'd prefer to have the green model, but....... for now, this will have to entertain me.

I found this at a local thrift store for $18.00. It was in pretty rough shape, well.....filthy. I gave her a bath and some polish and she looks pretty dang good! I had never used a G series before with the power-assist transmission. I absolutely LOVE it. I didn't know what I was missing.
