    Eureka converter

It’s not bad I’ve used one of those converters, and the suction is pretty good. I used it around the house to pick up a lot of things I thought it would have issues with. It does bog down if you’re using it to clean up heavy dirt, like spilled kitty litter, but what machine doesn’t? It should...

    Royal 4250 frustration!

It lives! Success! Thank you vacman1961 for suggesting the Princess 48, that got me further. I found a replacement brushroll on Amazon for $50, I wasn’t finding much luck elsewhere. But today I found one for $20 on CompleteVAC, so whatever. At least the one I ordered fits and works, that’s what...

    Royal 4250 frustration!

So close! I ordered a Model 88 Filter Queen brushroll, and when it came in I found out that my measurements were wrong! Looks like mine is 11 7/8” (as far as I can measure), and the one that came through is 12 3/4”. Rats! Back to the drawing board. Is there a specific model I should be looking for?

    Royal 4250 frustration!

Howdy friendly folks, I’m having a heck of a time tracking down a replacement brushroll for my Royal 4250 that I’m fixing up to give to a friend. It has the original oilite bushing brushroll that has decided now is the time to be seizing up. It spins by hand, but when I run the machine there’s a...

Royal Power Tank canister - help!

Thanks Les! I really appreciate the breakdown on the process, that helps a lot! I'll have to track down a bearing puller. Now I just have to source a good bearing. Anyone know of any good brands/sites for bearings?

Royal Power Tank canister - help!

Howdy vacuum folks, I'm in a bit of a pickle. I've got a Royal Power Tank with a bad bearing - the balls inside were falling into the fan - and I was wondering if anyone could point me to any information on how to replace this? I tried taking it into a shop, and they gave me a speech about the...

WANTED: Upper Wand for Royal 4700 Tank

I might have one of these! When I bought my Powertank it came with an extra upper wand, I've been wondering what to do with it. I can take a picture of it if you're interested?

    Kirby Avalir 2 on Goodwill!

Yeah, the price is pretty steep As I recall, the price for shipping was pretty similar for me through them. The vacuum I got was a metal Royal upright, so the dimensions were pretty close. It was the same thing for me, I balked at the cost as well. But I went ahead with it and ate Top Ramen for...

    Kirby Avalir 2 on Goodwill!

Third-party shipping @huskyvacs, the process was pretty simple when I used them. With PakMail, I reached out to them on their website and let them know I had an auction with Goodwill. They asked for the item number from Goodwill, I handed it over, and they took care of the whole thing. I didn't...

Antique sweeper - Torrington Model X

I got it! Sorry for the suspense! I've been away for a bit. I was the one who won this one! It showed up in a pile of dirt and spider skin, but after a quick vacuuming with my Eureka, it looks pretty good! The rope bumper is coming off in some places, but the cloth dirt bag inside seems pretty...

    Kirby Avalir 2 on Goodwill!

Howdy friendly folks! Thought someone in or near Arizona might be interested in this one - a Kirby Avalir 2, for $30! Pickup only, but I'm sure a local shipping company like PakMail would be happy to pick it up and ship to you. Looks like it was used without a disposable bag for a bit, but these...

Antique sweeper - Torrington Model X

Howdy friendly folks! Found this antique sweeper on ShopGoodwill and thought someone might be interested in it. Doesn't look like it has the handle, but the brushroll is intact. Looks like a handsome machine! https://www.shopgoodwill.com/Item/109463531

    F&G conversion bags

And I might have misread Reading back over your message, I realize you're asking about bags specifically. Do you mean the outer cloth bag or the inner disposable bag? Because the disposable bag is an F&G style bag. Lots of companies make them...

    F&G conversion bags

It depends! What it comes down to is your budget and how you want to use the machine. Is it going to be a show piece? Or will it be put to use? In either case, you will need a new outer cloth bag, bag top wire, and bag top cover, since the cloth F&G conversion bag you have probably won't fit...

    Look at this old thing

Unfortunately, it's the industry I wish it was just Goodwill jacking up their prices, but it's an issue across the shipping industry. It's all based on box size, not weight. Weight factors in a little, but not much. FedEx's shipping calculator was broken for me when I checked recently, but for...

    Help! Royal 513 Manual

Good to know! @Lesintutah, thank you for that! I didn’t know they were all the same. I’ll keep that in mind for the future. I found a decent solution for the belt, I had a type 49 belt for a Hoover ConceptOne lying around and I checked it against the one I had. Seemed to be just about the right...

    F&G bag spillage

Finally, pictures! @human, here are the pictures of my setup I promised earlier! Took a bit longer to get around to it than I thought I was going to, but here it is. Like I said further up, I just put two zip ties at the top and bottom of the F&G fill nozzle, just after or behind the groove at...

    Question about this floor nozzle

Would anyone want it, though? @fan-of-fans, normally I’m in with donating it. Better to let someone else get lots of use out of it if I’m not! The problem is, I think it’s broken. Or mismatched, I’m not sure. When I got it, the metal hose connector was held on with Gorilla tape, and I found...

    Help! Royal 513 Manual

Got 5's on the brain @kirbyclassiciii, thank you! I've been typing up serial numbers at work all day that all start with 5's, I completely missed that before I posted it. Yes, this is a model 413 Power Tank, not a 513.

    Help! Royal 513 Manual

Howdy vacuum friends! I need some help, I recently acquired a Royal Power Tank model 513 and I'm having a lot of trouble sourcing a manual for the thing. Specifically, I'm trying to find out the style of belt the model 600 power head needs to see if that will get it working again. Whenever it...
