Update I asked about the central vac hose, but he said they were either too big or too small. So, I brought it home and did a little surgery. Turned out there was a sewing needle wedged across the tube and a bunch of stuff got jammed around it. I still need to get the hose replaced, but...

My Hoover Constellation 858 hose finally gave up the ghost and the local vacuum shop isn't able to repair it, so looking for a replacement. Thanks.
