    1978 Kirby Tradition for sale

I found this gem at a goodwill 2 years ago and have done quite a bit of work on it. I installed new motor brushes and polished everything I could, converted the shake out bag to a full zipper with fill tube for twist style kirby bags. Original emptor. Blue power cord is in great shape. Asking...

Just a couple of Kirbys I'd like to show off

I just picked up the g5 it's great fun! The tradition (I know the shake out bag is backwards) I converted the tradition to hepa with 4 brush roller and installed a zipper on the other side, it's my daily driver. I also have a sentria I lent to my mother to shampoo her carpets. I love these things.

Finished polishing my 1979 Kirby Tradition!

Lesinutah Thanks! Yeah I know the bag is backwards. There was a small tear on the front side so I used it to my advantage to sew in a full length zipper on the front side. I'm going to get another bag asap. That's good advice on the fill tube aspect I may have to do that.

    Just bought a Kirby tradition!

Thanks! I'm really excited about it. The sewing part I had no idea on but trusty YouTube came to the rescue! I thought about going with a heritage bag but figured I'd try installing a zipper first.

    Just bought a Kirby tradition!

Found a 1979 Kirby tradition at goodwill on sale for $1! It's in great shape I'm in the process of polishing it now. (finished photos to come) I washed the shakeout bag and hand stitched a zipper so when my parts get here I can convert it to full hepa filtration! It still sounds great but I...
