    Will Full-Size Straight-Suction Uprights Make a Comeback?

Lindhaus I believe there are some Lindhaus uprights that come with a straight suction nozzle.

    Vanguard, another vacuum/extractor combo

That's a strange design indeed. Honestly, it kind of feels like a mutant Compact/Tristar.

    U4007 types of belts

Bag Belt If the rubber belt to hold in the bag is damaged, you may be able to replace it with a Sanitaire garter spring, which basically has the same function.

Never thought I'd get a Bison Mark 2 vacuum.

Bison Rheostat Nova_Candy, were you ever able to fix the rheostat issue on the Bison or does it still only run at high speed?

    The Ezee VIDEO

Broomstick It's kind of funny looking at the Broomstick patent and realizing that James Kirby basically built a Miele Triflex before Miele ever came up with the idea.

    Amway Model Timeline

CMS 2000 Tools I swear I read in some thread that the tool holder on the CMS 2000 was removable. There is a lip between the tool holder and the top of the cleaner in the photo, so maybe this is the case.

3D printed Hoover 20 blade fan

Metal Fan I looked on Craftcloud3D and it will cost $136.97 for an aluminum fan and $213.88 for a stainless steel fan. Pretty expensive, but it probably wouldn't be the worst idea if you want something that is more durable.

3D printed Hoover 20 blade fan

Materials I've done quite a bit of 3D Printing and I won't really trust a fan made of normal, home-use 3D printing materials, just because I don't know what would happen if I accidentally suck up something hard. However, there are some services that print with stronger materials (using a laser...

    Vacuum books

Suck, Don't Blow! by Jane Furnival discusses a variety different home appliances, but the first chapter of the book is a UK-centric overview of vacuum history.

Extremely Old Hoover, searching for details.

Brush Based on what I can see, it appears like the weird pulley system sweeps the brush back and forth like a broom. I'm not sure if this is OEM or just someone messing around, though.

Extremely Old Hoover, searching for details.

Screws Are those screws in front of the motor holding the stationary bristles in place? If so, I would assume that the machine was supposed to have a revolving brush and somebody converted it into a straight suction machine. Are there any mounts on the sides of the nozzle where a revolving...

The Design and Creation of the GE Roll-Easy Vacuum!

Hose material I have seen some people replace the hose on a Roll-Easy with either a pool hose or the hose from an older model of Flow-Bee pet trimmer. I'm not sure how well this works or how viable these options are, though.

    Electrolux 2100 Problem (help needed!)

Shut-off Disconnecting the hose bypass the automatic shut-off mechanism, meaning that the vacuum is no longer able to determine when the bag is full. Therefore, it will not activate the red light or shut down when the bag is full. I believe you may have to check to see if there are any...

Dirt devil deluxe upright with LED lightbulb

Bulb Did you check the bulb in another machine to see if it isn't a dud? The only other thing I can think of is that the contacts in the new bulb are not touching the contacts in the socket.

    Kent Baby Twin Vacuna

Vacuna Jumbo There's a Vacuna Jumbo at the Stark's Vacuum museum in Oregon. This thing is absolutely massive and is basically the size of a large Shop Vac.

    Kirby Tradition Fan Removal

Getting the Core of the Fan Off You may be able to grab the core with good pair of pliers or channel locks, stick a small screwdriver you don't care about into the hole in the shaft, and twist the screwdriver clockwise while holding down on the core. This should allow you to release the belt...
