    Needs armature..... Well, I found a shop to look at the motor and it turns out it is a bad armature. They didn't have the parts to replace it. Does anyone have one that they want to part with? Or possibly a part# I can search for?

    Filter Queen motor issue

    Update I tried using it today and all of the sudden the motor slow down and noticed a burning smell so I turned it off right away. Time to bring the old Kirby Tradition up from the basement until I get this figured out!

    Okay, I turned it on and looked where the brushes hit the commutator. It is mostly a blue spark however I see little bits of blue and gold sparks flying off near the brushes while it's running.     Early Lewyt history.

    Great history lesson! Awesome collection. Are those all US models or are some of them Canadian only? Also, I have never seen a model 210, are they extremely rare? I have seen many advertisements but yours is the first actual vacuum I have seen.
