Yeah, I'm not sure anything would destroy a vacuum faster than using it in a restaurant. My Legend II looked like it was used in a restaurant; there was so much grease built-up and caked-up in the nozzle and fan chamber. Took forever to clean all of that out.

Just speaking for myself I've never had a situation where I've needed a vacuum and an outlet wasn't nearby, and I've never looked at having to plug a vacuum in as a big hassle.

It seems like canisters have always worked the best for bare floors (hence the reason they've always been more popular in Europe). IMHO, for any upright to work decently on hard floors, it needs to have a means of turning off the brushroll. Otherwise, you're just going to scatter debris all...

At least Bissell already has an established commercial line-up. As others have said, the only better outcome IMO would have been if TTI had purchased them.

I'll agree with a couple of the comments above; the Shark we had cleaned better AND outlasted the Dyson (which cost twice as much) we had before it. But the high center of gravity made it awkward to use. That's one thing I like about Kirbys, the majority of the weight is sitting on the floor.
