    Kirby Ultimate G help

Hi all, I recently bought a pristine Kirby Ultimate G Diamond edition, but the machine came with no attachments. Does anyone have the basic ones (hose, wand, caddy, etc) they would be willing to sell for a reasonable price? I don't need and really don't want the shampooer, I've got a rug doctor...

Thank you Clark :) I've never been, either there or Cairns, the city in Queensland where she was born. I want to go though! Maybe then I can correct myself on geography. She probably told me right and after years of hearing it one way I decided that's how it should be. Australian english doesn't...

I like the hockey puck-like plug! It's cute! Correct me if I'm wrong (and I'm pretty sure I am)--wasn't there a time up until 10-20 years ago or so when any appliance you bought came without one and had to be installed by an electrician (or home repair handyman) so as to comply with local code...

Bernina 'Made for' Bernina--the Swiss were not about to take the fall if this was a bad product, lol (it's certainly not!)

Bernina Notice how the wheels pivot under the machine--Simplicity/Riccar don't do this, only the earliest models that were sourced from Panasonic

Bernina Manual and OEM belts! The belt installed on the machine (it sat in a box stretched out for 8 years) was completely rigid.

    Bernina upright

Thanks everybody for your help. It ended up that the wheels were squeaky and not the brushroll, it was fine. I tried UB-1 and UB-8 Panasonic belts and it burned thru them. Next I got Simplicity belts as suggested and they gave excellent agitation (I could see dirt jump!) but didn't allow the...

    Carpet SHAMPOOing

Hi everybody, I have a recently bought NIB Koblenz clean machine with carpet shampoo brushes, and I wanted to give my carpets a shampoo--without extracting. I know there are soaps designed for this, can anyone give me a suggestion on a brand and/or where I'd find one? For extraction I use "Zep"...

Anyone know how to lubricate one of these ball-bearing steel brushrolls? Where would I put the lubricant and what would I use? Any help is appreciated.

    Bernina upright

Chad, Thanks, that's good advice. I will try that. Are these brushrolls something that need to be lubricated? I can only think that if the resistance was greater that may have caused the belts to go so early. If so, what type of lubricant would you recommend and where should I put it? Thanks...

    Bernina upright

Hi everybody, I'm new again to the forum--had been posting once in awhile a few years back and then stopped. I recently bought a Bernina 6500 upright, brand new in the box, for 175.00 from a dealership here in Phoenix. The store was kind of a time warp, he had brand-new Sharp uprights from at...
