    Hoover Hushtone 15+ (CH54115) 3 month review

After seeing VacuumWars include this cleaner as part of his commercial comparison playlist I decided to do a quick review since I've owned it for about 3 months now. For perspective I live in an approximately 2200 sq ft, split level home, all carpet except for the bathrooms and kitchen. It's...

    Hoover commercial CH54115 bag blow-by

So I figured it out... user error LOL. As Patrick mentioned the bags are a bit oversized for the compartment. When I put the first 2 bags in I rolled the top of the bag up a bit to make it easier to fit. That resulted in the actual depth of the top of the bag being very limited. My guess is...

    Hoover commercial CH54115 bag blow-by

@patrick -- thanks so much for the detailed reply and pictures! I feel so much better that I didn't just buy a terribly designed machine now! I cleaned between bags and also noticed how rough I had to be to get the new bag to fit. I am going to do a thorough check of my new bags to see if...

    Hoover commercial CH54115 bag blow-by

So I recently moved from an apartment with a mix of carpet and hardfloors to a larger house with wall to wall carpet. I love my Miele C2 Compact Electro + but the bag size is a little small for the house, so I decided it's time for an upright. I should also mention that I have a long-coated...

    Hello! And my new Prolux

So I must admit that I am equally as impressed with Aerus' customer service as I am annoyed at the DC store. I received the handle this afternoon. Figured there would be an extended wait but I was pleasant surprised! Now it looks all nice and new again. Also just checked the Aerus site and...

Just Scored a Numatic George (US Version)

I almost bought that cleaner! LOL. I ended up finding a Bissell big green complete on craigslist for a steal locally. Needed the heating element unclogged and pump cleaned out and is good as new. Lucky dog! Still kind of want a George...let us know how it works out!

    Hello! And my new Prolux

So an update. Went by the store on Walter Reed and it appears they’re closed. Sign in the window said for lease and when I called the number on their web site the person who answered had no idea who I was looking for. Went to the store in DC. HUGE mistake. The jerk that worked there...

Wanted to buy: Electrolux 6900-3 motor

Is the suction motor rebuilt or just a direct part out? Mine has a working motor it's just really weak.

Wanted to buy: Electrolux 6900-3 motor

Does anyone have a new or rebuilt 6900-3 motor lying around? Is for a Prolux (discovery clone) upright. Considering buying one new but a new motor cost almost as much as I paid for the vac! Trying to finish my first official refurb! Thanks in advance! Shipping would be to 22314.

    Hello! And my new Prolux

It's all good broomvac, didn't think you were trying to get me fried lol. Gonna load it into the car and try to leave work tomorrow in time to get it by the store.

    Hello! And my new Prolux

Wow! Thanks for all the info and feedback. I am familiar with the recall and do plan on having it done. I bought this partially because I'd always wanted one and partially because Miele bags are so darned expensive lol. Plan on using this day to day and the Miele for a deep clean every week...

    Hello! And my new Prolux

Thanks for the replies! Guess I was spoiled by the surprisingly quiet Miele powerhead lol. Any advice on a more powerful suction motor? This one is the 8.5A. I see a couple different options on evacuumstore and even a lamb option on ezvacuumstore. Are there benefits to one over the other...

    Hello! And my new Prolux

Hi! I'm new to the site and wanted to say hello and ask a couple questions about my first quasi-vintage collector vacuum. A couple weeks ago I was searching for reviews on YouTube to help me decide on a new vacuum. I have a 75lb German Shedder...I mean Shepherd and needed something a little...
