Eureka Model 10, almost 100 years old with surprising performance.

Indeed it is! The yellow lettering had a nasty habit of disintegrating the fabric below if it got wet and crinkled.. They used real paint for that!

Ge Junior model 75. It is indeed as small as it looks! Has all the power of a usb powered Henry for your keyboard. XD

Does anyone keep this hobby a secret?

I don't outwardly broadcast it anymore. Got sick of being exclusively known as the vacuum guy. My college literacy essay on vacuum collecting got 98% though! lol I do occasionally bring them to work to use and some of the people get a kick out of it. One coworker in particular who originally...

The GEs are a vacuum. Not the best, not the worst tbh. Most share the same motor as well. Here is another documented for archival purposes, AV5. I love the lightbulb location, though this picture was taken before I started restoring my machines.

I had such a Hotpoint as shown in one of the ads posted originally. It ran well but the lack of power was noticeable.

Which is so easily to confuse with the model 89, the only real difference being the 89 is smaller as is the fan case shape

This one was just dubbed “special” on the rating tag. Rebuild maybe? Usually rebuilds were called “Modernized”.

It is indeed a farm current model. The handle grip and switch are totally different to I am assuming- accommodate the DC voltage. On another note, this is a GE av4. Everyone always assumes it’s an av1 with light tacked on but it is its own thing in terms of model number.

Wonderful work. I will try to add to this as I can. I have found hundreds of weird offshoots and variants of these vacuums. Be careful as some had new tags bags and even lights added by vac stores. Here is the only addition I have at the moment: a 32v New Premier model k14b.

What is the Weirdest Vacuums You've Seen?

Much as I am the FIRST person to crap on Shark. These were immensely powerful. Clunky, yes. But I remember filling the bin on mine into the hose and it still having power. And the floorhead is genius, eventually I removed it from the vacuum and used with extension tubes on other vacuums. The...
