    Hoover 612

Update So the cord is a work in progress but I decided to open up and motor housing and it looks like a lot of carbon dust…any tips on how to clean it? My initial reaction was to vacuum it up but I don’t think that would be safe for my Miele.

    Hoover 612

Here are some photos. As you can see the handle wire that is still connected to the switch goes to the right side of the pin where it was ripped from but I’m not sure where the handle wire from the left side of the pin connects to on the switch.

    Hoover 612

@marukap Does this wiring diagram work for older Hoovers? This switch looks like my 543 model which had the inner wire pulled from the switch and I am not sure where to connect it.

    Hoover Model 543

Disappointed So it finally arrived but unfortunately it looks like the wires that ran in the handle ripped so there’s no way for me to test it at the moment ☹️

    Hoover Model 543

@dysonman1 Mine seems to be the 3rd version, at first I thought it might have been a model that was modified since I couldn’t find many pictures with the curved handle. Regarding the oil, I have singers oil I use on my sewing machines, would that be okay to use? I think in the bottle it says I...

    Hoover Model 543

Hi all! I recently purchased a vintage Hoover model 543 and was looking for care tips and tricks. I’ll post pictures when it arrives, so far I have a small collection but I am really excited to have this one in my possession. I don’t plan to use it regularly but more to have on display as a...

    Eureka Victory Hepa Bags

Here are some photos, I don’t recall ever seeing one with both upholstery and dusting tool recessed in the handle usually, even with this handle style, it’s the combination tool which is why I think this one is a rare model. Would love to hear is anyone has one with attachments like this. I...

    Eureka Victory Hepa Bags

Hi y’all! I recently purchased a Eureka Powerline Victory style vacuum. Aside from wanting one because I thought they were cool when I was little I needed something with a beater bar for my rug since my straight suction Miele and turbo brush really wasn’t doing much in the high traffic areas. I...

    Royal Vacuum Company

Hi there! Occasionally I check out vacuum websites of various brands to see is they have anything new coming soon or sales (also on the hunt for a new stick vac to replace my old one). When I came across the TTI site I noticed they didn’t have Royal listed. So of course I googled Royal and...

    Is this really for sale?

Hi everyone! I came across this online store, VCDiscounter, that is supposedly selling the Eureka The Boss self propelled model 5181. I was just wondering if anyone else has seen it or actually purchased it from this store and can confirm its the actual vacuum pictured on their site. I'm tempted...

Thanks for the info! This was my favorite handle style on Kirbys so it's interesting it slightly altered.

    Kirby Classic 3 Handle

Hi all! So I found this Kirby on goodwills website and noticed that handle has a sort of thumb rest nub. There weren't and profile pictures but you can see it on the front. What are your thoughts? Does anyone know if this was handle an upgrade or something...

    Prolux Vacuums

Hi everyone! I'm looking to get a new vacuum preferably a canister. I really want a Miele but I am on a budget so I was looking into the Prolux Tritan. The price is great and I like that it's a sealed HEPA system for just $100. There aren't any videos on YouTube but the reviews are great...

    Shark Vacuum Question

Hello everyone! Just joined Vacuumland and wanted my first post to be something that's puzzled me for years! Not sure if it's ever been discussed yet but here goes. My question is, how does the Shark lift-away, rocket, rotator etc not lose suction?? I've never owned one but upon inspection at a...
