@beko1987: I just picked it up yesterday, didn't have time to check it out more. I keep kidding myself I'm not going to start a vacuum collection, no way :) Now I still need to find me one of those wireless vacuums :)

I just bought a well maintained Hoover 6525C (from first owner!). According to the serialn° it's from 1972 (month 6). It runs really smooth, a lot better than my own 6525C that I dug out of the basement a few weeks ago. I'm now the proud owner of 2 of these lovely vacuums :) The left one is mine...

@beko1987 thanks for the info. I'm going to leave it as it is for now (no plans on using it straight away), but good to know you're able to help if I want to change the bearings/belt! Thanks again, Jan

@beko1987: here is the link I don't know if you can make much of it, it's noisy, that's for sure :) And it started to smell a bit funny as well, nothing burnt, just dusty and dry.

@human: that's about 80 USD... and the shop claims that everything is still in working order (tested by them).

Just a short update: I didn't buy it after all. It was priced at 75 euro and had a whole box full of stuff to go with it, so I guess it was pretty complete. But it would just stand there, unused... I know you guys probably think I'm an idiot, but hey, maybe next time :)
