    Decade 80 and CWP Brushroll

Hi there, I'm having a tough time figuring out this one. I purchased a brand new CWP brushroll for my Decade 80 on Saturday. In short, I love it, the machine is so quiet and smooth; HOWEVER, I am tearing through the belts—and I mean TEARING. I can't keep a belt on for more than 10 minutes of...

My Red Hoover Concept I Model U3317 from EBay!!!!

@vintagevaclover Yes, the handle, cord, and bumper (I guess that's what you call it) have all been replaced. The U3321 does not have the speed control—that would be very cool. It belonged to my great aunt who purchased it in late '87 or early '88, making it a few months older than me. I believe...

    Hoover Concept model chart

@kirbyvertibles I realize it's been a few years since this topic was active, but I thought I could shed some light on one of the Concept models missing information on the chart. I can comment somewhat on #8 U3225 as I have one. From your description of U3305, it sounds identical. Mist...

@hoovercelebrity, thanks for the tip! Follow up question, do you think it's okay to leave the bag topper/spring attached while doing this?

Best practice for washing cloth bag?

Hello there, Happy to say I acquired a Hoover PowerMAX today! It's a burgundy model with the dumbed-down, two-strip Quadraflex Agitator. Anyhow, when cleaning this vac up, I noticed the exterior bag seems to be quite dusty, almost making it a shade or two lighter than its normal color. Has...

    Hover Concept One burning smell

Thanks so much for the suggestions! I ran the Concept for about five minutes with both belts disconnected and the motor ran perfectly fine the whole time. No burning smells at all. I reckon I'll try fixing up the brush roll. Any recommendations on where to get the appropriate bearings?

    Hover Concept One burning smell

Hello, I have a quick question regarding my Hoover Concept One (model U3225). I purchased the machine in 2009 from a vacuum shop in Houston and have restored it. I'm guessing this machine is from the early 80s (has the two speed motor and pointy handle). The issue I'm experiencing is a very...
