    One mixed up Kirby

Don't quite know what to make of this. D80 motor shell, D50 headlight cap, 560 rug nozzle. Bojack with a capital B! ~Jim http://www.ebay.com/itm/Kirby-Vintage-Retro-Red-Upright-Vacuum-Dual-Sanitronic-80-Works-/281224270171?pt=US_Vacuum&hash=item417a45d15b

    Kirby Paradox!

I'm also willing to bet that most Kirby owners over the years used it to vacuum out the car. Don't know too many people who bring the car inside!! ~Jim

    Kirby Model 514

Nice find! I like the look of the pre Classic Kirbys much better. They don't look as clunky and bloated as the Classic style. Enjoy you're 514. ~Jim

That Classic III... a few posts above is absolutely stunning! I don't think a Kirby could get any shinier! ~Jim

    Kirby Tradition all cleaned up

ncovert Bag adaptor is gone. The fill tube had a few tears in it also. I'm still surprised how thick the bag is compared to older shakeout bags. Seems like it would last forever. ~Jim

    Kirby Tradition all cleaned up

Here she is after the Mothers treatment. When I tore it down I noticed the wheel near the Emtor still had the factory plastic on the hub cap!

    kirby classic attachment?

vacuumssuck213 The first one is a handle to make it a portable hand cleaner. The second one is a coupler that the hose went on to. Neither one will work on your Classic. They were made for much older models.

ncovert Thanks. I've never seen a Heritage up close so that explains it. ~Jim

    Kirby Tradition bag conversion

Switched over to the factory shakeout bag today. Turns out it was a wise move. When I pulled the old bag off the emtor, I found a couple of splits in the fill tube. I haven't used it yet, but now it's good to go with a good bag. Also, this new bag is very stiff. Almost like it's padded compared...

    Kirby build dates

Noah You're right. After seeing a few used Tradition rug nozzles on Ebay, a few had the post which was located at the very front of the raised surface. I thought mine was ground off but what looks like a grind mark is too far back.

I looked at that one... when I was buying mine on ebay. The thing that caught my eye was that none of the wheels had hubcaps. I considered buying it, but it was more than I wanted to pay, and I don't need anymore attachments.

Kirby Tradition Fill Tube Assembly question

I just ordered a shake out bag for my Tradition. From what a few members have said here it seems to make more sense. I'm used to the shakeout bag, and disposables just seem like a waste of time and money. Also, since the genuine Kirby bag is still readily available, it makes it easier to switch...

    Most expensive Kirby ever!

I would give him ten grand... if I knew the Hope Diamond was inside the sani emtor. Hopefully it didn't break the metal fan on it's way in!

    Most expensive Kirby ever!

If you haven't had a good gut busting, can't breathe, runny nose laugh lately, go to E-Bay and search "vintage Kirby". Scroll down to the "One owner" 1958 model 518. Pretty good deal! Shipping is reasonable too!

SUPER-SWEEPER Mine was never factory rebuilt. It still has the original tag on the motor shell. It sounds great also. A rebuild is way down the road for this Tradition. I'm also growing very fond of the blue color and chrome belt lifter on this one. The Dual 80 is getting jealous!

Chicagomike... Thanks! My collection so far is everything you posted except for the Classic 1-CR.(It's too close to the Classic Omega, so I'll skip that one.) I like knowing the production dates. Thanks again! Jim
