Nar, our local Vax sales manager showed me the Vax and they are exactly the same machine. The Vax has an upgraded floorhead and an upgraded battery based on Ryobi. I would not be surprised if Hoover Europe has a deal with TTI. They are not digital motors, they get very warm, unlike the Dyson

An update, I gave it another go on some hard flooring in our store. It picked up dust but that's about it. As soon as I stopped, stones fell out of the floorhead. Not good. The Dyson fluffy picked it up well though

Having tried one, it isn't a broom vac. There is some power to it, it grips to the floor well. I'm impressed with its cleaning ability, the only problem is the small dust container and the quickly dirty filter.
