    Nilfisk GS90 wheels / casters.

The wheels and casters of my Nilfisk GS90 (my daily driver) have become brittle and chipped. Do any of y’all have a favorite fix for NLA wheels on vacs? Or if any of you have a parts unit, I may be interested. Thanks for any info!

Curious about Circuit Boards in Vacuum Cleaners

My two cents, a manufacturer’s perspective My two cents: First of all, my background was engineer and product safety specialist for a large electronics manufacturer - and these reponsibilities included the launch and support for their vacuum-cleaner line. In my opinion, circuit boards were...

The Hoover Special / What did I just buy?

But what does this mean? Previous model reconstructed at the Hoover Factory? Did I just get taken to the cleaners (excuse the pun)? Tell me what you may know about this doozy! Thanks for any info. Good or bad.

The Hoover Special / What did I just buy?

Apologies in advance. Vacuum cleaners like these are not my cup of tea, so I know little of them. This question probably came up a thousand times before. I hope you can advise me what I just bought. Back story.... went to an estate sale last week. Saw this vac but passed it up. ( I’m a GE-...

    Hoover Handivac 2901 s/n N58419

Hi, I picked up a low-hours Handivac. I've seen many Handivacs but am not an expert. However I do not remember ever seeing this particular floor nozzle. Can you tell me something about the age and why all other Handivacs I've seen have different floor nozzles? The original paper bag is...

Very much looking forward to this meet. Seeing friends again is really terrific. And every year the meets are a little different with interesting vacs, stories and a different mix of people. Always interesting with something new to learn and a few laughs to boot! It was great to see Sean and...

    Royal 501 metal hand vac

    Hoover 8330 Sweep-All

Funny you should mention cat litter Before I give this sweeper its "spa treatment" I gave it some tests. It was quite good at cleaning cat litter. It's not good at cleaning upholstery, curtains and furnace filters however.

    Hoover 8330 Sweep-All

What can you tell me about today's estate sale find? Hoover Sweep-All 8330. I hope I didn't get ripped off. I paid a whole one dollar and seventy-five cents for it. It is the non-power-drive version. Thanks for any info!

    Does Hoover even care?

Not always a sinister motive I used to work for a company that made appliances. Their attitude was that they would always carry a replacement part..... as long as there was reasonable interest in the part. It didn't have to be big orders either. So for many of their products, we were still...

    Services Scheduled for Glenn Dienst

We were fortunate to have known him. He will be missed by many. How fortunate he was to have his various hobbies AND find his various tribes with which he could share the things he loved AND have a few laughs along the way. In our great "train ride" through life it is not the final station...

    North Texas Mini-Meet 11/8/2014

What a nice time! Sean once again proved to be a terrific host and made for a memorable time for us all. It does all start with the people, as all were there just to enjoy each other's company and just have some fun. I do enjoy the fact that the conversations start with vacuum-cleaners but do...

So what is the story with Douglas Qwikut

Where I found mine I bought mine NIB at the Salvation Army. However if you search on Douglas Readivac, it comes up as an item readily for sale.
