    What a bizarre looking vacuum!

Check this out! Anyone have any clue as to what exactly it is? ~~K~~ http://cgi.ebay.com/ANTIQUE-ELECTRIC-VACUUM-CLEANER-TOLEDO-MAID-CO-OHIO_W0QQitemZ260244982752QQihZ016QQcategoryZ12QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

The Strangest Model 30 I've Seen!

Why, I can't say I have come across any Electrolux as peculiar as this one. This XXX is your standard XXX made between 1948 and 1952. However, it has a "power strip" along the side of it for a power nozzle and who knows what else it's for. The hose I got with it doesn't say Electrolux, but it...

    FOR SALE--Hoover Bagless U5290-900

Here is a Hoover U5290-900 bagless vacuum for sale. It's missing the upholstery tool and the dusting brush, the hose has a very small hole in it and is slightly squashed at one end, and unfortunately, I can't get it to work. It looks to me as though the motor could be easily replaced. The SN is...

Bissell Carpet Shampooer--"Little Green" FOR SALE

I have a Bissell "Little Green" one-speed carpet shampooer for sale. I am asking $30 plus ACTUAL shipping, but I will consider offers. The URL link shows what model, I believe. It seems to work well and would be good for cars! It's in great shape and really has only been used maybe 5 times...

One of the most indestructable vacuums!

That's right! I think I've found the one and only upright that can suck up pennies, nails, compression fittings (!@#$), and rocks...a Kirby G-5!! Well, here's the story...a lady that goes to our church told me her Kirby is clogged. I told her I'd be more than happy to look at it. So, last...

A Sad Vacuum Story...for me, at least!

Okay...so this was about 5 years ago... I wanted some more vacuums, and at that point, my mom said I could get some more. So, I posted in our local newspaper under the "Good Neighbors" section, and a few weeks later, I got about 5 or 6 replies! I was one of the happiest kids ever! I ended up...

    Really weird Lewyt thingy...

When I was opening up my Lewyt 44, I found this strange thing. It has a spring and a wire. When you pull the wire, it makes this plunger extend. Then, you push it back and it locks in place. Here's a few pictures of it. This is the filter in place. ~~K~~

    Two Uprights...Air-Way Uprights!!

Well, Martin Rocha, R.N. (:-D), was nice enough to send me his first model Air-Way upright for me to use for parts. It arrived a few days ago intact (he does a great job with packing!!), and I finally got both uprights back together, although only one runs because I used the good armature from...

Hello everyone, I have a turquoise G Electrolux in need of the back louver. If anyone has one of these, please give me an email. Also, I need a set of bearings for the power nozzle. This is the older one with a plastic handle, no reset button, and no clean-out port. Here's a picture of it...

    Filter Queen--Help!

Hi everyone, I need a Filter Queen wiring diagram. I have a 33, which is a dual speed, and the low speed isn't working. There is one red wire that has been cut and has been electrical taped on the end. I think this might be my problem. Thanks! ~~K~~

    Toby's House: Revisited!!

Greetings vacuum collectors! Yesterday, I had the pleasure of going to Georgia to visit my friend Toby. Toby has a collection of maybe 100-150 machines. He collects mainly canisters, but does have a few GE and Hoover uprights, as well as a Kirby and a Bison. He has several "mint" machines in...
