Will an old F and g converter fit on my new sanitare?

I did a lot of research and found that a sanitare upright is what I need for my thick carpet. It’s a sc888 with disposable bags. I read mostly great reviews, But a few bad ones. I don’t need a hose as I have an old filter queen that will outlive me.it arrives Monday. Did I make the right choice?
