Need some help from a Dyson-ite

Hi. I've recently moved to Australia and I'm having a lot of trouble finding work. The other day I was wondering though Harvey Norman (kinda like HH Gregg) and, seeing the market for Dysons down here, am appalled. Dysons that they can't give away for $550 in America like the DC41 is going for...

    Aerus in Australia!

So, as I've mentioned before, I'll soon be making the move from Fort Wayne, Indiana all the way to Brisbane, Australia! So I'm looking into the vacuum market over there because, let's face it I'm a dork and you are, too, so don't hate. Anyway, I'm on the website for Godfrey's which is...

Something I think is incredibly rare...

So, I have just picked up a... Kirby Commercial. It looks like a Heritage, but the power head is non removable and there is a hole cut in the front of it to access the belt. The bagger is enormous and uses a clamp to hold the top shut instead of a zipper or an emptor like others of the time...

The Latest Thrift Store Finds, Really Good Ones!!

This is the latest batch of thrift store finds and though I usually won't spend more than about $5 on a vac at a thrift store, I stretched a little for these. The Riccar on the left was 8.99 and the Miele was 9.99. I am very impressed with both, the Riccar is in fantastic condition other than...

Super Rare Gold Kirby on eBay!!

These are extremely rare and this one looks like it's never been used and he's asking less than the price of a new one! They only make a couple dozen a year at most and they are only given to their top distributors as an award at their conference. This would be the prize jewel of any...

    Today's Haul from Goodwill

Here's what I brought home today from Goodwill. I gave $3 for the Eureka, $2 for the hand vac, around $1 for the Kirby accessories by weight and my favorite $2 for the vintage Kenmore Kwik Sweep! Tomorrow will bring many more. Anybody who wants any of them raise your hand.

    Sunbeam Vacuums: Anybody Farmiliar?

I stumbled across this and have never heard of a Sunbeam vacuum. The bagless one is obviously an Electro Pure, but does anyone know who makes the rest of these? Anyone used one? Are they any good? I know that typically, cheap vacuums are bad vacuums, but I think the Dirt Devil Featherlite...

Another Great Find, and My New Every Day Vac

I noticed this at a vac shop here in Ohio and dickered with the owner and we came to a trade of three "Plastic"s (generic modern plastic vacuums, usually Eureka, Dirt Devil, of Hoover) for this beauty. It works great and can be run either bagged or bagless. I prefer bagged, though the bags for...

My Newest Acquisition... Let the Bashing Begin!!

Alright, alright... I know it's reputation and I know most people hate it, but I love it because it is so hated as well as because it's innovative. I picked this one up from Goodwill for $5 and using a parts machine from my local vacuum shop who's owner "Would never sell another one of those...
