    1916 Spencer Turbine

Hey all, In the vintage central vacuum thread, a gentleman in Newton, MA posted pics of a 1916 Spencer he was looking to have removed from his basement. Being I've always wanted one of these units for my collection (understatement of the day), I wasted no time in contacting the owner and...

    Vorwerk VK121: ReStore find

Hey all I was home in Mo for a couple of days for Thanksgiving. My dad had asked me to stop by the ReStore to pick up a trash compactor he'd been eyeing. I couldn't believe me eyes when I saw this. Id known about this brand but never saw one here in the area. For $15 I couldn't pass it up!

    Hoover Celebrity Electronic

Hi all Sorry it's been so long since I've posted, but I've been crazy busy here in Dallas. Anyway, this last Monday I was searching around on Craigslist. I usually type in vacuum or a few misspellings to see what I can find. On a fluke I searched "hoover" and just about crapped when I saw what...

    Pink GE Swivel Top find

I found this in an antique store yesterday. I'd looked around, but there were no vacuums. Usually if that's the case I just walk, but I asked the owner if she ever ran across old vacs. She said "Oh, I've got one in the basement, I'll bring it up". Moral of the story is always ask!!

    Last weekends find...

    70's Nutone Central System

I'm housesitting for a friend right now. The house was built in the 70's and still has the Nutone. No powerhead, but it did come with the shag rug tool!

Vintage Central Vacuums Pt 2-The Sturtevant

Here's another brochure for the Sturtevant system. Like the Spencer, it operated on the multi-stage turbine principle, and was probably the most similar to the Spencer during the time period. This dates from 1925.

What NOT to do with a Sebo...

The owners picked up hot coals from the fireplace with it, then threw it outside into the snow after it caught fire. After all this though, it runs PERFECTLY. The damage was just cosmetic.

Hoover Concept that came in today....

A lady just came in with this Concept. She said it made a horrible noise, and she was ready for a new vacuum. I expected it to be a broken fan.

    Hey Everyone

Andy Weter here. I LOVE this website. It's so good to see so many old friends on here. I'm sorry I've been so out of touch with many of you, but these past few years have been crazy for me! But now I have my own vacuum store, which I am JUST about finished remodeling, and things are going...
