    Another G...

I found on ebay. The description was terrible and showed a box of stuff not related to the G next to it.  One distant pic and I sent two messages to the seller through ebay (always use this function, as it's in ebay's records as well) for better pics and more info and got no response until an hr...

    Hoses & dirt

Just an FYI of sorts.....those newer style LUX hoses (and I suppose any hose that shape), that are shaped at the end with the 60 degree convenience angle (which would of course include those 'pistol grip' types)......you really need to work a bottle brush up in there and see what comes out.   ...

    Air flow

In the world of air flow testing....where can a Baird air flow meter be purchased? Anyone have one to sell?   Kevin

    LUX suction

I'm frustrated for my efforts....need some assurance. The other day I was using one of my 1205's and I thought I heard the motor slightly spool down...in other words, decrease in RPM accompanied by what I thought was a change in suction. So....I took the motor out, cleaned, re-oiled the bearing...

    LUX PN 2

OK, here is my quandary. I'm just guessing, so please confirm. I have two LUX PN 1's that I just rebuilt-love them. I bought a 50th Anniversary PN 2 to match the 1205's. Never had a 1205 before, but they're the later ones with the bigger motor and fully electric hose. Both my PN 1's have a long...

    1205 Function question

OK, on the 1205 (and other models) there is the slide for closing the exhaust port. When the port is closed, this forces the exhaust to vent out the slits in the top-both sides. It 'seems' that the vacuum runs cooler with the slide open. Even putting your hands on both sides of the vents with...

    ebay LUX's

Just curious if anyone here recently bought a particular G that was on ebay. The description was supposedly by a nine yr old boy and his brother (using their dad's account). It was their grandmother's vacuum. Obviously, they had help with the description and/or the whole thing was a scam. I...

    LUX hoses

OK, I'm a little confused here. I was expecting the 1205 (for some reason), to have the pigtail plug-in for my newer hose. This is my first 1205....so does the electrical connections for the PN's take place at the hose connection to the canister and then you plug in the PN's at the grip? If so...

    LUX parts....

I just went through two PN-1's today. One I think had never been touched inside and the other was definitely serviced over the yrs. There are actually some small, machine shim washers on the carpet brush shaft ends, I'd never seen before. So....where does one get bearings/brushes for the PN...

    Electrolux 1205

Is there anything wrong or 'changed' for the worse with this model? Does it have the same motor as the Model G or different? If the motor is different, was it made in-house and is it durable?

    Electrolux query

Hi to all you Electrolux collectors and fans! Brief history (you're allowed to sleep through this part); back in the mid 80's I was on a working farm, I came in for lunch one day and was greeted by my wife, my mother-in-law and a Electrolux salesperson (also female). Well you know the outcome...
