    PENNEY'S HOOVER CANISTER INFO

Hello. Does anyone have any information about Hoover products made for Penney's stores? I just bought a mint canister that is clearly a Hoover Constellation, but with the Penney's name and emblems. It's white on top with a yellow/beige lower color. It has the handle style of the very early...

    EUREKA UPRIGHT ASSISTANCE, PLEASE

Hi folks. I bought a basic Eureka upright, model 2013A from ebay and it arrived without a bottom plate. It was made in 1973 (per the number stamped on the bottom) and uses levers to hold it in place, like a Hoover Convertible. It doesn't have the tabs on the front of the base to clip the...

PART # FOR BOTTOM PLATE FOR HOOVER 700

Hello folks. I'm thinking of buying a Hoover Heavy Duty Model 700. It's in good condition, but the plastic bottom plate is broken. Does anyone know what model # the part is? I've seen a few on ebay, but more than 1 model #. Thanks. Michael T

    ELECTROLUX MOTOR CHANGES?

Hi. I have an Electrolux Epic 6000 and 2 Epic 6500s. I notice the sound of the 6000 is different than the other 2. Did Electrolux change/update the motor used in the 6500s? If so, are they Electrolux motors? The 6500s are not as quiet as the 6000. I'm just curious. Thanks. Michael T

What Hoover Upright Would This Bag Fit?

Hello. I found a cloth outer bag on ebay that has a part # of 48951. Clearly it's NOS, and I'm wondering what Hoover upright it would fit. You can't see the bag clearly; it's in an opaque plastic bag. Thanks. Michael Thomas

    Electrolux Epic 6500 SR Motors

Hello. I'm wondering what motors were used in the Electrolux Epic 6500 SRs. Were they Electrolux motors, or outsourced? I'm interested in a 6500 from 1997-1999, C102G, that I saw on ebay. I've read that Electrolux stopped making and using their own motors at some point, but don't know when...

    Electrolux Ambassador III Motors

Hi. I have a question for you Electrolux experts out there. Did Electrolux start using a different motor for their Ambassador III machines? I have several plastic Electroluxes and they all sound the same, but the 2 Ambassador III machines I've had had a different sound to them. I hear a tone...

    Aerus Attachments

Hi. Does anyone have a reliable, dependable Aerus dealer contact that will do shipping? I had one, but now he doesn't answer his phone, and the 2 here in Phoenix are useless. I want to buy a short black crevice tool and a black flip floor brush with a clip for my Classic. Thanks. Michael T.

    Noisy Lux Legacy Power Nozzle

Hi. I have an Aerus Lux Legacy (in black - really sharp) and like it very much. It is nice to use and sounds like a Lux Classic instead of the Lux Guardian Ultra whose motor sound reminds me of a jet engine during take off. I do notice that the power nozzle on the Legacy is quite noisy. It...

    Hoover Convertible HEPA Bags?

Hi folks. I have a Hoover Convertible Elite from circa 1977 and a top fill bag. I guess Convertibles are too old to get HEPA bags, so does anyone know if another type will fit? Thanks. Michael T.

    HEPA Bag Opinions, Please

Hi everyone. May I get some opinions from you regarding HEPA bags? I've read that some folks like and recommend them, but others don't. Are they worth the $$ and do they really do a good job keeping not only the air cleaner, but also the vacuum and the exhaust? Are there any issues to watch...

Would My Electrolux Have Metal or Plastic Wands?

Hi. I just bought an Electrolux 2100, Model C141A, that came with just the vacuum. According to the chart listed by Paul (thank you!!!) in 2014, it was made in 1996-97. I think metal wands were still being used then, but am not sure. I think the thin non-electric plastic wands came out in...

    Aerus Lux Attachment

Hi folks. I'm trying to find a black flip floor tool for my Lux Legacy. Even though Aerus has been making black machines for several years, all I can find are white ones. As I peruse ebay, I'm wondering if the neck of the Guardian Platinum will fit securely on my Legacy. I have a black tool...

    Lux Legacy Motor

Hi folks. I'm contemplating buying a Lux Legacy and am wondering if it has the same motor as the Classic and Guardian Ultra. I know they're not high quality motors and they're noisy with that high pitched whine. Thanks for your attention. Michael

What Power Nozzle Would An Electrolux Lux 5000 Have?

Hi. I'm outfitting an ebay find - a really nice Lux 5000. It didn't come with a hose or wands or power nozzle. I found a hose and a set of OEM wands, but I don't know what power nozzle model I should be looking for. There are so many variations between models and I don't want to buy...

Domel and Johnson Motors Used in Electrolux and Aerus Models

Hi everyone. I am looking at an Electrolux Lux 5000. I was told that it's one of the last models using the old style Electrolux motor style before the company began using Swedish-made Domel and Johnson motors. I'm told these motors are inferior and cannot be rebuilt and must be replaced...

When Did Kirby Update Their Belt Lifter To The Starburst Design?

Hi folks. I'm wondering if Kirby put the new starburst design belt lifter on the 519s. I know they appeared on the 560s, but I've seen a couple of 519s that haven't been rebuilt and they had the new belt lifter design. Thanks. Michael T

What Motors Were Used In Electrolux Models and Aerus Models

Hello folks. I have an Electrolux LE that I like very much. It's noisy, but a great cleaner. I also have an Aerus Ultralux that I also like very much, especially the quiet motor. I really don't hear the motor running; I mostly hear a rush of air from the attachment and the exhaust vent on...
