I went back through the machine and I realized that the carbon brush wires were indeed backwards. I've nobody to blame but my self ,so now that it's corrected it runs better than new! Thank you again for the help.

Im having some trouble with my vacuum after a complete teardown and rebuild. Greased,oiled and cleaned everything beautifully as well as replacement of the carbon brushes. Since I've done this and got it all back together,the belt lifter gets blazing hot,the belt seems to be riding on the edge...
