The motor in my 1205 failed. The brushes arc a lot even after sanding the commutator so I think I need a motor.

I’m wanting to know how to remove the handle return spring . when it’s not broken so I don’t end up missing an eye.

The resto was a bit more like a clean up I wanted to look 97 years old . I had to sandblast the adjuster and handle latch as they were too badly rusted that most of the platting was gone. Don’t worry that switch isn’t connected it’s bypassed.

These are my triplets a 1933 Hoover 1982 Kirby heritage unknown age tradition and tools . The Hoover still needs a fan but it kind of works the tradition needs the little tabydo thing for the handle. And does anyone know where I can find a Kirby legend 2 bag toper .

I have good news “ it’s alive” this is my childhood vacuum sadly my moms dogs messed it up pretty bad. I thought it was a lost cause she was in bad shape. I got her wen I was 10 from my dad . I will update wen I get the parts.

What would cause a motor to run nominal then in a few seconds it slows down and then back up to normal rpm I’m afraid that this might damage the motor so why would it do that and how do I fix it.
