    The Hoover Special Model 60

...or so this recent curb find says. Have to take a couple of pictures tomorrow. I am totally beat. Brown bag, reads "The Hoover Special". Body very dark brown almost looks black, the front hood reads: "It beats as it sweeps as it cleans with positive agitation." and "The Hoover Special...

    Kirby Dual Sanitronic 50?

..or so the plate says on the bottom. I have enough projects. Really. But I spied the handle sticking up like it was waving a red flag with the garbage truck 2 houses behind it. 1950's? What. Have. I. Done? Be warned, it's filthy, it does power up though.

    The .50 Electrolux

I "was" staying home to work on the Riccar I found curbside last week. Instead I was talked into going to an auction...first one in 10+ years that I've been to. Estate/household goods. No bids on this one and it was on it's way to the trash. So I put my bid in on the last call and spent my two...

    Riccar Curbfind

Found a Riccar N2200 curbside this morning taking my son to school. It "looks" very nice, but is currently drying out in the shed pending further evaluation since it was caught in the early morning rain. Looks just like an older Panasonic dressed in red, in fact that's what I thought it was...

    Bissell Big Green Powerbrush (canister)

Ran across one of these in the original box sitting at the curb last night. Appearance-wise it looks like it might have been used all of one time and everything including the manual looks like it's there. It's currently sitting in the shed pending further evaluation. Anyone have one? Like it...

    Un-amazing trash find

Was excited when I saw it, until I got a little closer and saw the bolts sticking up. Ugh. Not sure what I'm doing with it yet, power head is powerless (motor probably shot, reset didn't do nothing)...will probably take that apart later and look...really similar to the one on my Tri-Star it...

Wanted: handle for Kenmore Progressive upright

Model #11633920300 Long shot, but I'm looking for the two piece handle/spring? that snaps over the top handle to work the auto reverse. This is for a Kenmore Progressive bagless, beltless vac with the auto reverse feature year 2000? or so. View it here...

    Sprint in the snow

Kid and hubby brought home this sorry looking thing after the last snow storm for my scrap pile.

    Kenmore Progressive Curb Find

A different one I haven't run across before. Panasonic under a Kenmore label? Top handle piece is missing, I'm assuming it's similar in setup to the self-propelled Hoover's? Anyone familiar with this one? Motor sounds great, messing with the one switch at the handle seems to get the brush bar...

    April Curb Finds

Sorry picture isn't the greatest, shot from the cellphone...since someone forgot to charge the batteries in the camera. The Aptitude has been on my list of "wants" for awhile, I just love the look of them (I even have a pile of new bags and belts stashed away for this model I found at a tag...

Assorted scuffs, loose parts, and a broken prong on the well-taped cord.

    Curbed Panasonic Jet Flo

Curbed a model MC-6210 deep red & cream color this morning. This one is pretty bad and basically in the donor catagory only, I will most likely be scrapping it out in the next few days. : ( Cord is nicked and taped in one area, top cord holder on handle is busted, motor makes a loud...

    Regina-Hoover finds

Haven't been around much, mother passed away, moved into a smaller home. But anyways...picked these up at the curb in my morning travels. Unfortunately due to lack of room, hubby says I can't keep them : (. But couldn't stand to leave them for trash. The Regina has had the cord cut on it, the...

    It followed me home

I'm always finding vacs curbside and have too many now, so I always try to close my eyes and walk away when I see them at a sale. That said, stopped at a yard sale yesterday and saw this one in the corner for $2.00. It was suffering from the backwards handle syndrome (how do people vacuum...

    Last weeks curbfind

Unclogged it and gave everything a good soak, I've already tested it out on my postage-stamp piece of floor in my small kitchen, and it does a nice job. It should find it's way up to my mom's next week, to see how it does all the linoleum.

    Electrolux Pittsburgh Craigslist

Posted for free on Pittsburgh Craigslist. I'm too far away or I would go for it, looks rough, but might be good for parts? They also have a vintage Kirby posted also. http://pittsburgh.craigslist.org/zip/2137938996.html

    Curbside finds

Newbie here. Always had a "thing" for vacuums, that and my interest in fixing things has led to a rescue of sorts. Due to limited space I can only keep a few, the rest normally get cleaned up and fixed and find new homes by the word of mouth or freecycle. Some of the latest.
