    Kirby busy & shiny!

Well sadly, I seem to have my mother's fingers where they curl all the time and you think they're straight! Fresh cup of coffee cream and sugar all over the kitchen and dining floor, crap! The hardwood floors are no longer sealed after 65 years so I normally paste wax there once or twice a year...

    No hating please!

My anniversary Hoover which I recently purchased, used once from FB marketplace got suction relief mods to the front bumper,4 small holes across with my drill. It's not rare, and it's not vintage, so I figure I should modify it so I can use it! With my new carpets it's simply would clamp down...

Got my Hoover Dimension upright back

So my new living room carpet does not seem to care for newer vacuums, works fine with the dirty fan type. I got to thinking a long time friend of mine had mothers upright and I asked if he was still using it it's been five or six years, he said it's upstairs and I've never turned it on so I went...

    Facebook marketplace score! WindTunnel

Saw this today on our local Facebook marketplace offered for a reduced price of $50, used one time, nice neighborhood! And tools still taped in place. I know they're a bit heavy and a bit noisy but they clean well sadly the clean indicator lights do not work at all. Easy fix? Or just be happy...

Anyone else surprised by a found vac that becomes a favorite?

My wind tunnel curbside find,a 6200 turbo power was just a free machine with plans to clean up a bit and repair for a friend possibly down the road, but after using it a few times and being startled by the amount of power and carpet lifting it got a thorough cleaning and moved inside. It is now...

    Franken-Bissell!

Just like it sounds, throw together of a few different machine parts. The vacuum was returned by a neighbor moving out, I had forgotten about it. Simple cheap probably disposable unit. Took some time to disassemble and clean it of course it needed a new belt and a new bag and then a good...

    The Suckolux

So yesterday the almost son was over to help me, my hands are getting helpless. I needed to take apart and probably clean the heater/fan. He wanted something to blow with, I asked what/how? He said get me the old suckolux, that sob will unplug anything, always what I use. It has very strong...

    Hoover Air Steerable

Was cruising Target today, no plans on adding to the collection, but $80 off was almost half price. I had given away my old Air and I did enjoy it, careful with the plastic but the build quality seemed pretty good, cleaned decent. This one is different for sure, not a big fan of the hook on the...

Another Hoover found it's way to my home

We all know how friends can be on the look out, or just notice and mention? Well my best buddy, her mom was helping with a clean out and was going to donate to a thrift store, she grabbed it for me. Guessing 80s from the color, burgundy, bare bones model sold by Wards, at first she thought it...

    Sunday find/ gift

One of my few elderly neighbors down the street I purchased the Kirby Diamond from had this in the garage the last 6 or 7 years, used once, put away dirty :( and next to the litter box, NOT pretty at all. 2 hours cleaning, looks great now. I have always had the Hoover, felt the cleaned well if a...

    My Miele Titan having issues

My Titan, I think a 2000 series? Cheapest full sized powerhead model, I got it 8 years ago, reading the exhaust filter, still on bag 5? Not my favorite to use, hose and cord frustrate me. Today after months of non use, as normal, I powered it up and the speed control was going bat shit nuts. Low...

    Saturday Cleaning

Not a quick clean, but not hours either. Pulled out the Royal, has been covered in my garage storage since Kirby was in the cleaning closet. I love that too, but just overkill for my place. The Royal reminds me of the earlier Kirby my aunt had, size, shape, Lovely!! machine to use, feels good...

    Weekly deep clean

So I run a quick clean daily with cordless and try to deep clean ever week, pull up the heavy stuff and fluff the carpets. My options for this are Kirby Diamond, Royal 8 amp and Concept 1, they all seem up to the task, just fine. Any preference or advise besides rotating them?
