Parting out Kirby Heritage II - Northern Ohio

I have a Kirby Heritage II that I picked up. I've gotten it torn apart and have decided that this pony was rode too hard and "put up wet" just too many times to bother with it further. However, there are lots of good serviceable bits and pieces that may be hard to find. .If you need anything...

Heritage II no brush roll indicator - best, new brush roll??

I have a Heritage II that I picked up curbside. It needs a new brush roll and I would like to get a good one at a good price of course. There is no need for the magnet since this model isn't equipped with the indicator. Can anyone advise me as to which brush roll to get and from where to...

    Kirby thread pitch question

I picked up a Kirby Heritage II curbside, and the only thing that the vacuum is missing is the upper screw for the on/off switch assembly. Does anyone know the tap / TPI for this screw? Is is just a standard thread or something unique to Kirby?? thank you

2012 Sentria - What do I need to be careful about?

I'm going to look at a Sentria 1 built in 2012 that is for sale locally. Other than the obvious things that a person would look at when buying a used item, is there anything in particular I should be concerned about? If the vacuum is in decent cosmetic condition and appears to operate...

    Sanitaire S675A video review

I've had this machine for 2 months and I've been using it daily. I bought it new in box as a close out from Go vacuum on eBay ($201.87 inc shipping). I did have to run a bead of RTV sealant along the edge of the chute exiting the fan chamber toward the bag to address a dust leak that wasn't...

Not mine, but it should belong to somebody that will love it!

I'm not a collector, but I happened upon this ad on the Akron Ohio Craigslist, and thought that a collector should own this machine. Gold, Hoover 65 convertible that looks to be in pretty nice shape.

Is the Riccar Sunburst the same vac as the Bissesl Zing?

I recently mentioned in a comment on a post here that I purchased a Riccar Sunburst suction only canister from my local dealer. It met my criteria of being small, decent suction, not too loud, and good emissions (hepa bag). I use it for bare floor and above the floor cleaning. The tools...

    Kirby theft rings??

So, there was a FB marketplace ad for a $30 Kirby Avalir with attachments. My first instinct was that this was a typo and they meant to make the price $300, so I sent them a message alerting them that they might have a typo in the price. They replied, "Nope. Just don't use it anymore. I work...

Kenmore Crossover Canister is it worth repairing?

A neighbor is selling this canister for $10, and I'm considering picking it up. I could use a nice canister vacuum. The cost of the complete hose assembly is $180. Does anyone know if there is a more cost effective method to repair this besides duct tape??

Thinking of buying a Kirby and conflicted between models

I'm intrigued about owning a Kirby because of the quality construction, made in the USA, good at deep cleaning carpet. I found a Kirby Avalir for $100 about an hour or so away. I'm concerned about the weight when it comes to dragging this up and downstairs, and cleaning the carpeted stairs...
