The elusive hard-box Light & Easy...

Has anyone ever actually seen one? The classic L&E is rare enough, let alone the hard-bag model! Would love to see a non-catalogue photo of one :p

What's your favourite vacuum box art?

I personally love the vintage Hoover dual-tone boxes of the '50s - '70s, as well as the rather odd looking 'flame' Numatic style, which ran in the 2000s. What are yours?

What are your favourite defunct brands?

Personally, I quite like Vactric cleaners. What are yours?

What vacuums do you hope will come out in 2024?

It's not a vacuum, but Oreck have been killing it recently and I would love to see their advertising ramp up. I'd also love the European brands (Sebo, Numatic etc) to gain some more footing in the States. And (finally), I'd love to see a corded version of the Truvox Valet upright come to the UK...

    Hoover Elite history?

Hi! I'm from England but I've always loved the Elite series over in the States. From my understanding they had an incredibly long and convoluted run, which I've always found interesting. What was the first model/series? I know the final model in the mid '00s was some sort of Caddy Vac. Thanks!

If you owned Hoover, what changes would you make?

As I'm in the UK I would like to bring back some bagged uprights and really push bagged cleaners, maybe an advertising campaign against bagless? Also probably rebrand an Oreck Elevate as a 'Hoover Junior' to tide the company over until we can launch our own designs. What would you do? :p

How did bag-check indicators work on direct air vacuums?

Sorry if this is in the wrong place, but I was just wondering how bag-check indicators worked on direct air vacuums? I understand how they work on clean-air machines, but I imagine the dirty fan system would've made it more complex. Any ideas?

Any info on this weird vac?

I found this machine while browsing Alibaba and was wondering if anyone knows about these weird little things and if any have been produced under any brands. It's an upright with a retractable cable and tools, but it's straight suction. Also, the company that made this made the Goblin Topo. Of...

What's a vacuum you shouldn't like but really do?

For me it's the Dyson DC03. It may have weak suction and an odd design, but in my experience it picks up really well, and it's just a great everyday cleaner. What's your 'illegal' favourite vacuum?

    What happened to Vactric?

Why did they go out of business? Did they get bought out?

    Henry Micro discontinued!

Henry Micro's been discontinued :( I understand why but it's sad seeing the classic 200 machines die off

Vintage Henry Hoover instruction manuals; has anyone got a good scan?

I'm looking for a nice quality 1980s to ~2008 Henry Hoover instructions booklet scan, does anyone have any? I've seen Alex's 1999 one but it's a bit wrinkled. Thanks!

Numatic is entering the USA properly!

They've recently started selling their machines on QVC USA! There may have been some TV demos but I'm yet to see them, no doubt there will be some soon...

    Numatic dirty-fan upright?

I seem to recall a brochure from the early '80s containing a bright red Royal-clone branded Numatic, but typically I can't find it. I believe I saw it on Vacuumland so Idk how it's escaping me but here we are. Thanks for any help!

How do you 'de-fog' a bagless vacuum's bin?

I see lots of machines with nice clean and clear bins but I don't know how to get them like that. Does anybody know? Thanks! :D

What's the American equivalent to Henry, popularity wise?

Over here just about every shop stocks Henry, and if they don't stock them then they stock Henry bags. Does the US have a machine similar in popularity? Picture of Henry attached below for those unfamiliar. They're just about everywhere over here :p

1987 Numatic 'Taskmaster' with no branding or face?!

Hi guys! I found this on eBay, a rather peculiar Henry with no markings at all. Is this an early example of a cleaning company Numatic? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/354171365007?hash=item527642268f:g:00YAAOSwtCFi1DnW

Do you think Numatic will ever manufacture in China?

I'm not sure they'd do their main Henry machines, as they're renowned for quality. But (and correct me if I'm wrong here) the Henry Quick is going to be manufactured overseas. If that's true I can see them producing some parts over there too. Thoughts?

What's your opinion on customizing old vac's?

Do you think old vacuums should stay the same as how they rolled off the assembly line, or do you think customization is good? I personally think customization is good, enjoy your machine as much as possible (as long as you're not painting your Model O canary yellow and hot pink :p )

Does the hoover 612 have a supressor?

I wouldn't think it does because of the era, but I'd like to double check. Thanks!
