    SEBO ET-C brush strip replacement

Hi there hey there ho there, ok so I have a vintage Patriot set up for HEPA with a 350e Sebo powerhead and it all works GREAT. However, I recently am getting some indication from the banks of idiot lights that the BRUSH STRIP needs replacement and lo and behold I looked at it and the bristles...

    TriStar A101 Adapter ?

Aren't there wand adapters so I can use generic floor tools / accessories for this model? There is SOME kind of short adapter but apparently it was used for: a BEDBUG SPRAYER accessory! WTF. Another extremely dumb marketing decision made! This just sucks.

    MIELE PLATINUM ELECTRONIC PROBLEM

So I am diagnosing a problem on an S344 CANISTER. It turns on, the green panel lights go up and down, but the motor never comes on. I opened it up and determined that power is going to the small board astride the motor, but the motor itself never gets power. What is the likelihood A) the...

    EnviroCare bags defective?

I don't know if all Envirocare bags are doing this but I used one for my TriStar 101G and the inner microfine liner quickly DISINTEGRATED and SHREDDED after a few uses. Is anyone else seeing this issue? Would seem to be of major concern. Hmmm. Can take photos.............

    TRISTAR A101 a new use!

This thing puts out so much hot air exhaust its incredible. Better than my wall furnace. Must be like 140 degree air coming out. I just can't believe it. Has anyone ever tested exhaust air temperatures on canister vacs? No wonder why these motors burn out. If this thing gets no air for...

    PATRIOT VACUUM HDS MODEL DEFECT

FWIW: Hi, just bought one off the BAY and being the mechanical fussbudget that I am, I did notice a rather surprising defect common to this model/version. The front hooded casters are all cheap junk / defective. They have no support bearings above or below- causing the entire caster to move in...

    Carpet out of fashion?

My question is if carpet installation has declined massively and is out of style, who is even using vacuum cleaners? I now understand why there are gazillions of Kirbys for sale; these huge monsters and similar, were made for the age of endless carpeted living rooms and hallways before the open...

    Powerhead Evolution?

SO I bought this used TriStar MG1, works very well, very convenient small tank on wheels, which has a well made but very basic powerhead which works just fine on my apartment supplied omnipotent low-pile tan carpeting. Which got me to wondering, there were in the past much more elaborate power...

    Craigslist Tally...

Alrighty now, with absolutely nothing better to do on a hot sticky day we checked CL for greater Los Angeles and found the following: 130 Dysons, 99 Kirbys, 49 Hoovers, 44 Shark, 36 Bissell, 32 Oreck, 24 Eureka, 9 kenmores, 20 electrolux, 11 miele, 7 rainbow, 4 Tristar, 13 Sanitaire, negligible...

TriStar MG1 - need some advice here.

I bought a used MG1 and I am noticing that air coming directly out of the rear (front?) exhaust vent on the main canister is hot, like really hot after a minute or so. There is no burning smell, no weird noise, all seems well but I am concerned. This really throws off a HUGE amount of heat...

What fascinates us about vacuum cleaners.

Strangely, I have suddenly developed an unnatural interest in VACUUM CLEANERS. Just bought a Tri-Star MG1 that I drove 120 miles in the boiling desert heat to get (but it was well worth it at $60!) Here in Los Angeles, you can go cuckoo with vacuum cleaners, CL has 500 online any time you...
