1990 Electrolux 'Twin Turbo' Z1017 Resto

So, a freebie here, always good in my books! This was my Grandmas Lux, which has been her daily driver for the past 27 years and is still going strong. While Grandma did keep this lux in good, clean condition, this ol' gal was in need of a service (more cleaning wise and bearings greased etc...

    1982 Hoover PortaPower S1015

It's in pretty good condition (usage/motor wise) regarding its age, very...

    1997 Sebo Automatic X1

I've been quiet on here lately, haven't I? So, picked her up from the British heart Foundation for £30. Meh, a little bit more than I wanted to pay for the oldie but seeing how she came with a genuine extension hose ( that I've been meaning to get for a while) and these models hold a few...

Is this a genuine Sebo X1 motor?

So I'm in a bit of a dilemma here. Now I know that this is a replacement motor as indicated by the label and by the date wheels on parts of the machine (96' and 97') But, is it a genuine motor? The reason I'm questioning is because 1. I've only worked on an x1.1 and 2. It has the sebo logo only...

    Clicking Carbon Brushes?

So, I was given a motor for my 1000 which burnt out. I had to clean it up and grease the bearings as they were VERY dry. It was fine before I serviced it then after putting it back together, (keeping in mind that I didn't take the brushes out fully) when I turned it (the right way) the brushes...
