Royal Handvac with Blower and Sprayer Attachment

Anyone else see this on ebay. I've looked at a lot of Royals, but have never seen a blower / sprayer attachment. I have seen the rare straight suction nozzle a number of times before, but the sprayer is totally new to me...

    Compressed Air Vacuum

Has anyone seen a vacuum like this before? It looks like it works from a compressed air supply in a garage / workshop. A very interesting design. I thought about bidding on it, but I don't have a compressed air supply at home, and I'd prefer to buy something I could use right away...

Cleaveland Browns Dirt Devil Hand Vac

I got this on ebay a few weeks ago. Until today, this is the only one I've ever seen. It's probably the rarest of my Dirt Devil models. I suspect that Royal was supporting their local team when they made this. Based on the paperwork, it was manufactured in the late 1980s.

More price insanity for you guys

I've been away a while, but I felt that some people would find this $1200 Hoover 543 amusing. Its one of the highest prices I've ever seen. http://atlanta.craigslist.org/atl/atq/1662216560.html

I wish I could have had this Royal

This is the second strange straight suction Royal I have seen of this nature, and the second one I either could not afford, or was outbid on. As you can see the attachment is from a Eureka. I have no idea what the purpose or target consumer of these models were, and I have never even heard them...

    You guys missed this one...

It's not every day a Hoover baby model goes unsold. For some reason, the model tag is wrong, but it is quite clear what it is. http://cgi.ebay.com/VINTAGE-HOOVER-MODEL102-UPRIGHT-1919-VACUUM-kirby_W0QQitemZ230410068188QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item35a582a0dc

    Electrolux Branded Regina Electric Broom

I found this on craigslist. See link (could be deleted at any time). This looks a lot like a Regina electric broom with power brush, but labled for Electrolux. I have seen Canadian Lux brooms before, but those were built by Electrolux themselves to the best of my knowledge. I was wondering if...

    Eureka Victory Series

So, online vacuum hunting today brought me to thinking about the old Eureka Victory upright vacuums, especially the bagged models. I've never used one, but I see no reason why they would be a bad cleaner. Their clean air (I think), bagged, lower amps (not all are 12 amps), the unique back saver...

    Electrolux Model G Restoration

My late style blue Electrolux Model G arrived today. This is one of the free vacuums from Greg Bushman. On first inspection it is in good mechanical condition, and looks pretty good too. So, I just had to start working on it. I don't plan on doing anything too crazy, so the motor is staying in...

Dyson DC15 Paperwork / Stock Images

As I was going over my Dyson DC15 that I'm selling, I was looking at the paperwork with it. While flipping through the round Quick Guide, I noticed that the drawings show the handle on backwards. I then noticed that stock photos on ebay, that were full color images, were the same way. Were any...

Shetland Lewyt - A Forgotten Brand?

Ok, now for a brand you don't hear about everyday. When I was young, my mother got a Shetland Lewyt, which was third hand. It sat in my Grandmothers garage for a fairly long time after she inherited it. I guess it spent a fairly long time out there before it was given to my mother and put to use...

    Hoover Dial a Matic

Ok guys, so I'm not much of a expert when it comes to Hoovers after 1930 or so, but I've been looking at the Dial A Matic, and it seems like a very interesting design, but I don't really know much about it. I have repair diagrams for them, but I would still like to know more about the air...

    Yellow Royal Upright

Has anyone seen one of these before? The yellow bag looks original to me. This is on craigslist.

    New Royal Plastic Canisters

Has anyone had experience with the new Royal plastic canisters. I was just looking around ebay and took a look at one. It was a model 3050 full size canister. It was fairly attractive with variable speed control, bag check indicator, concealed tool storage, and hepa filtration. The PN also looks...

    Need a Favor

Hey all, I have a bit of a problem. I found a very cool dirt devil upright on craigslist. The problem is simple. It appears the seller won't ship the unit. I emailed asking if they could ship it I have not gotten a response in over 48 hours. Secondly, I am pretty much broke at the moment. I was...

Anyone Seen One of These Lately

I was looking around on ebay and ran across this ad for the soft bag Eureka World Vac uprights. I have not seen one in years, except for one on craiglist a few weeks back. They're pretty cool looking for a modern vacuum. Just wondering if anyone has any experience with them, or currently owns...

    Gold Hoover Convertible

Ok, here's a question for the Hoover experts. I was looking at a gold Hoover Convertible on Craigslist, and I need a bit of help identifying it. Its appearance is as follows: White Metal Base (older style) Gold Motor Hood Gold Handel Gold Bag (Not sure its original) Basicly, it looks like the...

    This Weeks Thrift Store Find

Earlier this week I ran across a fantastic deal, on a very interesting cleaner, a Dyson DC15 Animal. I got it for only $39.99 complete with turbo nozzle, low reach tool, near full bag of Zorb, a bottle of Dyzolve, and most if not all of the paperwork. It had a piece of paper on the handle...

    Singer R Series Uprights

Hey guys, I'm looking at buying a Singer upright. It looks dark in color, and I'm wondering if some of them were painted, or were they all polished. I guess it could be rust of tarnish, but I have seen so many like this that I feel that I need to check with the experts (you guys). The one I'm...

Sears Kwick Kleen - The Update

More info is in on this cleaner has arrived. The Kirby Company has replied to my information request. It was a very simple reply that was also very interesting. The email stated: "Mr. Allen I checked with the Eng department and they confirmed that the vacuum you have it was not manufactured by...
