Does the Kirby have HEPA filtration? I know the latest cloth bags claim to be HEPA but are they? A Miele bag has 9 layers but still has a pleated HEPA filter. If the Kirby cloth bag is HEPA why does the outer bag get dirty? I would like to hear your views.

Could anyone tell me the weight of the filter queen? And does the latest power nozzle have edge cleaning? I noticed on older nozzles the bristles on the brushroll don't reach close to the edge.

How much more dirt will a direct air cleaner pick up than a clean air motor as a percentage? For example a Kirby Sentria compared to a Miele S7? Would the difference be more than 5%?

I know I've been uncomplimentary about Kirby on here in the past due to what I consider to be cons. It's very heavy ( not in use but carrying upstairs etc) bulky, noisy etc. But I am now thinking of buying a used Sentria on Ebay not to use as a daily driver but as a deep cleaner every week or 2...

Following Dysons reply regarding lowering the rating from am A to a C because they say they had to retest with the brushroll turned off. I sent them another email explaining that I'd seen the EU criteria for the test procedure and nowhere does it say the brushroll should be turned off! I have...

Just spoke to Dyson and they tell me the EU test on carpet has to be done with the brushroll off that's why they had to downgrade the rating to a C. When they did the original test they had the brushroll on. Whether this is true I don't know. But it would explain why the Miele S7 or U1 as it's...

Hoover UK make some nice budget vacuums but is there any reason why they can't make high quality vacuums to rival Sebo and Miele? I'm sure they are more than capable. We have some fantastic engineers and designers in this country.Not to mention scientists. For a smallish country we have given...

Just thought I'd give my opinion on German bagged cleaners. Starting with Miele. The S7 which performs very but is best suited to large homes and I've problems with build quality. The don't yet have a compact upright. Cylinder cleaners unless you want to fork out £600 for the power nozzle...
