    Electrolux Model CB

Probably can't get parts from Electrolux. They don't stock parts for older machines, my experience is they just "want to sell you a new machine" anytime you walk in there, you can get replacement parts from HESCO. Their website is: www.hescoinc.com. There are other parts supply houses you can...

    Electrolux Model CB

Depending on the color of your top part of the machine has a lot to do with how old the machine is. Most of the CB's that I've seen are the same color as the Electrolux model 1205, which would be from the late 1960's to early 1970's. As a rule, they came with a power nozzle, and large floor...

    How I find old cleaners!

It's Pretty much the same scenerio around here, too, lots of baby junk. Any more, I just look for the estate sales. Estate sales quite often have vacuums, and lots of them are vintage, That GE Swivel Top and Electrolux Golden Jubilee both came from estate sales, I paid less than $10.00 for them.

    1521 vs Guardian

As an avid Electrolux fan, hence the name "Electrolux-Dude", I have used both machines, and have in my collection both models of machines. Personally, IMHO, I think the metal bodied machines have better suction. It seems to me like that machines made after the Silverado have steadily gone...

    My Frist Electrolux Canister

Hi, Nathaniel, I can help. Loosen those little nuts, loosen them till they are almost near the front of the threads. There are long arms that clip into little slots on the sides of the inside of the vacuum's casing. After loosening the nuts you will be able to push down and slide the arms out...

    Aerus/Electrolux Motor Needed

I am restoring an Aerus/Electrolux 7000 vacuum cleaner that I purchased at a thrift store for $5.00, which includes a hose and Powerhead. The body on the machine is in really good shape, as is the hose and powerhead. Unfortunately the motor in the machine is bad, the motor has the conical...

    I need help...

Hi, Lane, I can help. To get to the bearings, after you have removed the motor from the machine, first remove the fan housings and fans from the motor. The fan housings have 4 long screws on them, usually flat-head screws. Remove these 4 screws, then loosen the big nut in the center of the...

Compact vacuum, is this worth the price?

A Message to Chase Hi, Chase, this is Nathan, Electrolux-Dude, I live in Amarillo, and I personally drove over to the gentleman's house and looked at his Compact. Personally I think he is asking WAY too much for his machine, considering the shape that it is in. Plus, the motor sounded like it...
