Gone Polishing Crazy

Whoah. That looks amazing! It looks like a Regina to me, I have two of them from around the same time period, both are a metallic turquoise, one has a dispensing tank and in almost new condition (can't remember how much I paid, wasn't more than $10 or so), other one is in poor shape but was...

    General Electric Roll-Easy

Here it is, I won this not too long ago on eBay from Chad. I'm really happy with it, finally an eBay purchase without any surprises or disappointments. And of course, Chad's packing job was excellent. I was able to put a fresh bag in and turn it on right out of the box, it sure is quiet. I...

    can i??

Brad... Better keep that purty Cadillac clean!!! :) It wasn't too difficult cleaning the car with the Kirby (tried it once). It's easier to take the big handle off and swap it with the portable handle. However, as mentioned pebbles and coins like to hide in car interiors. I picked up a penny...

Compact vacuum, is this worth the price?

Welcome... As mentioned, that tool set it kind of hard to come by. I also like hassocks so it's always tempting when a vacuum with one turns up. I think if you want it, go for it. It wouldn't hurt to try and knock of a little extra off the price either. ;)

THREE -- count 'em -- THREE Roll-Easys on eBay!!

It's odd how when one hard to find vacuum is listed on eBay, a couple more get listed days later. Luckily I won one of them. I initially wanted the earliest version, I was bidding on it today, and was the highest bidder but did not meet the reserve at $236.xx. I bid on the second one from the...

    My Hoover 28

Heads up... There's a late 60's Kirby Dual Sanitronic 80 at the St.Vincents in the Renton Highlands, only $7. Looks good besides a brown Classic handle and broken zipper (I can get you a matching handle if you buy it). Was just up there, it was in one of the glassware rows. I didn't buy it as...

    My Hoover 28

Nice job on both! Which thrift shop(s) did you find them at? There's a Salvation Army in downtown Renton, and the Goodwill and St.Vincents in the Highlands, those are the only ones I know of around here.

    Whats your favorite vintage vacuum?

"No, people are more than welcome to save my pictures - just not to use them online without permission." You won't be happy with this eBay seller then! http://cgi.ebay.com/Vintage-Hoover-543-Vacuum-Original-Agitator-/140484376217?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item20b5857699

    Universal Upright vacuum cleaner.

Yay! Glad to see it arrived in one piece. It's nice to see that puffy bag and to hear that it runs well.

    Most powerful vintage vacuum?

Right now, for an upright I'd say my Hoover 61, but if I had a 60's/70's Eureka, that would be it (hope to find one soon). For the most powerful canister, either of my Compacts (C6 and C8).

Joe Your negative attitude it really getting annoying. You should lighten up and stop bashing other brands that you don't like. Alex

Like taking candy from a baby....

Nah, I'm not as big of a Kirby nut as I used to be, ever since one of those nasty Kirby salesmen ripped me off. I like pretty much all vintage brands like Electrolux, Eureka, Hoover, Compact, GE, (still) Kirby, etc.

Like taking candy from a baby....

You should go for the Chicken Picatta... And a nice drink... And maybe a nice slice of cheescake for dessert...
