You did very good It's a decent vacuum for low pile carpets and shouldn't go through many belts a lot of the casinos and hotel/motels here in Atlantic City use them on a daily basis the Taj Mahal being one of them and that place is huge . Bags are cheap in bulk so with proper care it will last...
