Update Chuck Schafer is still doing fine. He is waiting for a new computer.

I've had such problems before. Some I've solved some I've ruined. I would be open to suggestions in case I come across another similar situation. Thanks and keep up the good restorations.

Hi again I just wanted to inform you that Chuck aka HOOVER61 is doing great and that his computer is down.

@bikerray I also wonder where I can get staples to hold bristles in like including replaceable brush strips like on the Hoover 150. Thanks again.

Dirt devil 4&5 and hoover dial a matic belts are the same as far as I know.

Btw my 750 the original hedlite bumper perished and the wiring is good just not original as I have yet to find some original wiring.

I thought I'd mention that my personal favorite vacuum period let alone my favorite vintage hoover is my model 750. Here it is.

I rebuilt mine as a 2 speed esp upright. Texbodemer I'll need a picture but I might be able to help. Enjoy.

I now favor my hoover model 750. I rebuilt the 750 thanks to betam64 have the friction lock handle part.
