dysons are on sale today only

Ok, well I've deleted my previous response, for the sake of harmony on the forum. I'll finish with this discussion too. Ultimately, it doesn't matter. The people who really know me know what experience my opinions are based on - and I don't have to justify myself to anyone else. Buy a Dyson...

dysons are on sale today only

'Don't take things so emotionally or personally...&# I'm sure putting my name in quotation marks, or invoking my nationality as some way of discrediting me, was done in the nicest possible sense, right? And speculating about my ability to run a business or work for Dyson - based on the few...

dysons are on sale today only

You don't have to put my name in quotation marks - my name is Jack... as plenty of people here who have met me - in both the US and UK - can verify. I've been an active poster on this forum since 2006. And unlike certain contributers to this thread, I don't disguise my identity by hiding behind...

    Another New Hoover!

It's hard to give an accurate reply, because I can't tell from the photos exactly what modifications Hoover have made to their version. Doing something as simple as adding stiffer bristles, or slightly reducing the power, could have made a big impact on pick-up or separation efficiency. The Vax...

'As many cords/cord plugs as we have replaced on them, m Great idea - a unique Dyson plug, and a matching set of specific wall sockets for every customer in the US and Canada! Genius!

    Another New Hoover!

Joe, I wouldn't recommend you play with anything more challenging than a stick. Run along now, the grown-ups are talking.

Me bitter? I'm not the one constantly whining about bran What percentage of annual US sales do these premium-brand machines you've listed account for? You're comparing two totally different business and marketing models and treating them as if they're the same thing! It's a shame you don't know...

Whats your quietest and loudest vacuum?

Near-complete ensemble (missing upholstery nozzle and manual!) An original navy-blue plug for this model is fitted to one of my Hoover Minors - I'll have to swap them over sometime...

Whats your quietest and loudest vacuum?

Hi Dave - the Henry Dreyfuss-styled*, non-floating Constellation 822 was launched in the UK in 1956. In 1957, the 822 was updated to included the patented Air Lift Suspension technology - the model number remained the same, however, as did the colour scheme. The only visual detail to change...

Whats your quietest and loudest vacuum?

    The Constellation's another quiet vac... since the carpet helps suppress motor noise and air turbulence! <object width=640 height=505><param name=movie value=></param><param name=allowFullScreen value=true></param><param name=allowscriptaccess value=always></param><embed src=...

Whats your quietest and loudest vacuum?

The 20s - 50s Electroluxes always seem the quietest to me. I don't have any in my collection anymore, but I've owned quite a few in the past. Hoover Models 541 and 543 also have a wonderful whisper-quiet purr!

    Another New Hoover!

Hi Fred - it's actually not too bad, and it's an electric powerhead, as opposed to an air-driven turbine. It's one of the few multi-cyclonic rivals for the Dyson DC23 Motorhead - you won't get the same quality, overall efficiency, or 5-year warranty, but the price is correspondingly much lower...

    Another New Hoover!

Ahh... ...the Vax Mach 3 Powerhead!

    I finally got a steamer!

Great thread, Fred! This was really interesting to read! I love the simplicity and efficiency of steam-cleaning, and the idea of sanitisation without the use of costly (and potentially harmful?) chemicals! I have a Morphy-Richards steam cleaner designed a little like a canister vac - a main...

dysons are on sale today only

'Dyson has to pay for all of that hardcore advertising s As opposed to other brands, who, since the start of the last century, have imparted their presence in the consumer-consciousness using telepathy. Or simply saved on advertising entirely by tricking their way into homes to defraud the...

dysons are on sale today only

A fascinating thread, Joe, since it seems you couldn't resist the temptation to scrawl 'NOT' on Dyson's facebook page. Tell me, how does one become so devastatingly witty?

    GROOM

The Groom tool couldn't be used on the human journalists, either. Usage wasn't compulsory for attendees.

    Dyson vs. Royal Everlast/Kirby

Ok, Dyson do 30 second TV spots. But how do Kirby get sales? And before you start hurling Sani-Emptors at me, I don't work for Inside Edition! Kirby might try to shirk responsibility by blaming the distributors, but the salesmen are essentially the public face of their company. I have friends...

    Dyson vs. Royal Everlast/Kirby

Ahh yes, the "demo" (/ hostage situation?)... Remember that famous Kirby sales pitch: 'I don't care if you only have wooden floors! Hand over your grandchildren's inheritance or I won't leave!' OR: 'Alzheimer's? KA-CHING!'
