    Hospital Model G

Question, I know the filter on the back really reduces the loudness of the machine. I think this is correct? But does the filter really keep the air cleaner? I have to amagine it would have for it time but does not compete with other machines today. Just curious. Beautiful machine and...

What do you think about Oreck Vacuums?

Thnaks Lux kid for the comment. I would think my neighbor would notice that the nap is not getting groomed. Although she has low nap rugs. I would notice if a brush roll was completely gone on a machine without flipping it over as you would not hear the bristles agitating the rug or for that...

What comes closest today to a 1960 canister Electrolux?

From my experience, switching from an electrolux to any other machine would be tough. The 1205 is an amazing machine. I have one I still use. I also use a 6500 Lux as a daily driver and really like it. I still love the 1205 better. I love the attachments and how they work together ect...

What do you think about Oreck Vacuums?

Okay I have an interesting story. I was house sitting for my neighbors and discovered that they had an Oreck. I turned the vacuum over to see if I could determine the model and it's age. I realized that the brushroll was completely worn down. I mean worn. No brisels what so ever. I have to...

    Hoover Dial a Matic Question.

I also read on this sight that you can tap the bottom motor area ever so lightly with a rubber hammer and that may loosen the stuck brush. Anyone else ever tried this. I know it's a long shot and not sure the problem will come back again in the future but feel it is worh a shot.

I have a question about a Hoover Dial a Matic. The machine is not powering on and I think it is due to a stuck brush. The machine has not been powered up for several years. Can anyone tell me how easy it is to dissasemble and check the brushes? I see screws at the bottom of the curved base...

    Contents of old Electrolux Store

WOW.....I have never seen the tan plastic power nozzle and wand combination before. Wondering if it was just painted that way by an owner?? Would love to get my hands on a solid cream metal wand that Electrolux used as a replacement for the plastic wands on the ealry PN1's. Think I saw one in...

    Proper way to store hoses?

Is there a standard way hoses should be stored when not in use? That goes for wooven hoses and any other as well. I have read that it is not a good ides to hang hoses on their own as they can stretch and put presure on the area of the hose that is on even 1 to 2 hooks. Anyone out there have...
