    Yikes! Expensive Antique Royal!

I would think that anyone who would be interested in owning this would also be unwilling to pay that much. Let’s watch and see...

    Electrolux or not?

I’m sorry I cannot answer your question as to why this does not have a name badge on it. I hope someone does- it would be interesting to know. Also, I have never heard of a Hercules. Sorry! Thanks for the posting and photo. My grandparents in Des Moines had an Electrolux XXX when I was little in...

    Lux model 30/XXX tools

My first LX... I went to a neighbors house two days ago (actually my moms neighbor, two doors down from where I grew up) to help her pack for a move and she gave me her LX! My first LX. I was very thankful (appropriate for this time of year) to find the information on this site/thread and to...

    Dictates of vacuuming

Has anyone laid down the dictates of proper vacuuming- like perhaps Martha Stewart or HGTV ? I’ve attached photos of an old booklet that suggests a light daily once over plus a thorough weekly vacuuming. I vacuum weekly, maybe xtra if I’m having company. I’ve never done it daily! Does anyone...

    My "new" Good Housekeeper

Neat pics...thanks! An older Royal with diagonal red/black bag is on my wish list. When I was a kid, in the seventies, we borrowed the neighbors. Your photo of the black handle grip brought back memories of the black rubber leaving black marks on my hands! I eventually was gifted that vac and...

    Free Generation 3

Hi! I read your profile and it sounds like we have a lot in common by appreciation for all generations of Kirby’s, but focusing our collection on a couple of specific decades. We overlap a little, but I tend to like the pre G3. The G3 was my newest until I recently was gifted a like-new Sentra...

    Free Generation 3

Offered is a Generation 3 with tool caddy, manual, good hose and one barely used bag installed. This unit needs motor work. It runs loudly. It is clean, needs buffing. Brushroll is decent and green light works. NO shampoo/Renovator. NO shipping- local pickup in Minneapolis. Again: Needs Work...

    562 Sanitronic, Sanitronic VII, D50...

Photos for Chris... Hi! Thanks for asking and here are photos for you! I need handi-butlers for both of these (well, to complete the sets anyway). I have a new headlight bumper for the 510, just need to install. They are both clean but could use a professional buffing. I have a Sanitronic handi...

    Normal to see sparks?

When looking in the side vent on the motor housing of a Kirby Omega is it normal to see some sparks while it’s running? Or, does the motor need service? It sounds, smells and works fine. ( my Classic has fewer visible sparks and my red C III has none)

    Omega piece from motor

Thanks Ben What is it’s function? Is it important? The vac (Omega) seems to run fine without it. Although, I can see some sparks when looking in while it’s running...that will be my next post. Jeff

    Omega piece from motor

This fell out when I took off the motor housing from an Omeaga Kirby. What is it???

    O M G

Yuck! If that’s restorable (and I believe you that it is) I have been very fortunate in the ones I have found. I won’t complain again about having to remove a little hair from the brush roll! I’d like to see it when it’s done.

    562 Sanitronic, Sanitronic VII, D50...

Thanks for the great pics! I hope to find a white cord someday. I have a 510 with a D-50 bag and a C1 cord that looks sharp. I also found that my C1 looks nice with a D80 cord as the gold bag is really a greenish gold!
