I found this Kirby classic III that I found on the side of the road. It needs a safety switch but otherwise it's in good shape. The bag has this weird brown substance stuck to the bag. Can I wash it or do I have to do some other bag trick that I'm not aware of?

I'd have to say... Hoover dial a matics and kirbys. I have one dial a matic, took it apart and had to take it to a vacuum shop to get it back together. I've never been able to get a Kirby back together.

All my kirbys Seem to have a safety switch go bad about 6 months after I get them. The vacuum shop I go to has them for 75 cents. They have a ton of them.

It depends on How old they are. If you bought them a few years ago and put them on now they will most likely snap because of the rubber being old or possible dry rotting. It's possible that you bought some cheap off brand that won't work with you're vacuum. The belt drive could be rusty and...

I need a bumper for a Hoover junior 1348. The green one. I bought a Hoover junior without a bumper and the side of it cracked and broke in shipping. I glued it back together and it holds but I need a bumper to to keep it from cracking again. I also need it so that it can hide the crack.

It depends On what it is in my opinion. I really love the look of vintage canisters but they are kind of awkward to use. I don't like the stiles of many vintage uprights besides hoovers and a few other companies, but I do find that they are easier to move around.

It reminds me of A vacuum I saw a janitor using to clean out the pews in a church I was at.
