    Today's find...for FREE

A burgundy trimmed Royal upright to go with my black one and my blue one! :-) It was free because it was not working. Started at the power switch, and sure enough, found a break. Now the fires up and roars like a 747 spooling for take off -- Just like a Royal. The bag is, of course, not...

    My new kirby 518

Brandon... ...that little red thing on the back of the emptor is your Sweet-Aire port, I do believe. And yes, the switch these was a Kirby quirk. Earlier ones you'd depress the switch, and the vacuum would fire on release of the switch. Later on, the vacuum would fire when the switch was...

    Swiftly Nifty Thrifty Tripping

Dave.... ...I'm absolutely in love with that red Royal Canister...even the tool saddle, that thing looks cool! (And you don't look too bad yerself!) But I have to ask, do you wear heels, a gingham shift, and a Stepford-wife-smile when doing your housework?

    STAN KANNS VACUUMS FOR SALE!!!

Ok... Ok John - my question in that case would have to be What buisness does a museum have acting as an auctioneer in the first place???? I honestly cannot answer that one. Yes, it is a dealership, yes it is a car museum. I have been there. They do automotive restoration work, customizing...

    STAN KANNS VACUUMS FOR SALE!!!

Slow down a bit... ...the St. Louis Car Museum may not have been the buyer at the estate, but may be acting simply as the auctioneer. Like I said, they're pretty upscale and have a following. I don't fault the St. Louis Car Museum on this. I *DO* like Dave's idea of an acquisition fund. I'd...

    STAN KANNS VACUUMS FOR SALE!!!

Ugh... Brandon, when I first saw your post and followed the link...I honestly had to step away from the computer and take a walk. Eric, I feel the same way you do. Like you, Brandon, I wish I had the money. However, St. Louis Car Museum is a pretty upscale outfit. And with the starting bid and...

Who to blame.... ...go to the Off-Topic Forum and read the Glamorene thread...I'll bet the lady doing the demo is the kid in the Glamorene picture pushing the vac... This video is a scream indeed!

    My new Connie

Even though it's not Westinghouse and Betty Furness... ...you can be sure, Chinese-made or not, that if I came across one of these retro-beauties, I'd snag it in a heartbeat! I think it's a very beautiful machine -- and I for one am sorry to hear of its discontinuation. Very nice vac Fred...

    This Weekends Additions :-)

By the way... Can anyone give me an idea of the date on that Eureka? The hose connector swivels 360 degrees -- but it's not a RotoVac...maybe the predecessor? It doesn't have the latches, instead two knob/screws on top that you loosen to get to the bag. Any ideas?

    Brand New Compact on Ebay

Congrats, all of you... ...who bought these beauties! Talk about a once-in-a-lifetime chance! One of the two Compacts that I have came with all the instructsions, extra bags, the hassock -- and the original sales contract! In 1962, someone paid just under $300 on installments for the machine...

    This Weekends Additions :-)

Uhm... It was in "canister mode" underneath a removable seat -- I think. When I removed some various stuff, I forgot to grab it. I used to own a janitorial/floor care company and would use it for various jobs, hence the reason it was in the van.

    My Todays find buy

Kirbykid63 has a nozzle for $20 + $10 shipping with brushroll, in his eBay store. (And don't worry about the countertops -- in my weekend haul picture, I cropped out parts that were less than flattering regarding my housekeeping! It's been a busy time!)...

Listed a very nice Hoover Clean and Light

Well that's good to hear! Coz I just bought a cord for a Kirby Classic III from yah Richard! I went thrifting after work, and found this one at the Salvation Army shop. In pretty good shape, but the cord is not original -- well, the plug isn't original anyway.

Listed a very nice Hoover Clean and Light

I apologize, Richard... ...I was just ribbing you -- hence my smileys and "hehe" in the post. I didn't mean for the thread to turn. I have you marked as a favorite seller because if you have something I'm looking for, I'm going to buy it. In fact, I think I have in the past. Your prices, to...

Listed a very nice Hoover Clean and Light

And you're asking $94.95 for it! That's a helluva markup! :-) Are you SURE you want to be telling us this, hehe! (Some of us DO have you marked as a Saved Seller) Seriously, that is a rather nice looking machine. I especially like those side brushes, what a concept!
