Where can I get a new CONNIE???

That's the price for the white connie. ESSCO didn't have the stainless steel ones in yet. I bought six of them, and have sold two to customers already. Much fun to demonstrate. I have my model 84 sitting next to the brand new ones. Ironically, Andy is an authorized Hoover service dealer, and...

Where can I get a new CONNIE???

New Connie at wholesale cost Kenny: As a VCCC member you can buy a new Connie from those of us who own vac shops at wholesale. The wholesale cost of a connie is $139 plus COD fee and postage. That brings the total wholesale cost (to the shop) to be about $150. Those VCCC members with vac shops...

Helping a friend-- (Not a fan of new vac)

wholesale prices for club members Lawrence: As a VCCC member, you have the opportunity to buy new sweepers at wholesale cost. There are several club members (myself included) who own vac shops. As we said at the last meeting in St. Louis, those of us who own shops are always willing to sell...

    Stan Kann

visiting Stan I visit Stan about every other week, on Sundays. That's his day 'off' from playing the organ at the Fox Theater. I've had ample opportunity to study his entire vacuum collection, as I helped him polish all the machines and arrange them in preparation for the convention this past...

    The Deeper Sweeper

best cleaning vacs In my humble opinion, and on a non-wall-to-wall carpet, you cannot beat the Hoover 150 for cleaning. With four beater bars (and two brush strips), the 150 beats the heck out of the rug, removing virtually all the sand and grit. Next, I would say any Eureka with a...

1951 Hoover 51 vs Lux XXX Consumer Reports

vintage consumer reports/consumer digest mags Fred: Jeff Parker made some copies of the CR magazines I didn't have in my collection, and gave them to me some years back. I'm forever grateful. I'm so computer illiterate that I have no idea how to post pictures. I would love to post some of my...

    Hoover Duster & 543 Photo

543/575 Tom: You are absolutely correct. That is a 543. The triangle badge threw me off, as both my 543's have the rectangle badge. Stan has a 543 with the curved handle, but with an interesting cord connection into the side of the motor housing and with a switch in the handle like a 575. T.G.

    Hoover Duster & 543 Photo

Charles: That Singer is an S-1. Notice that it's a sleeve bearing motor, as seen at the hump on top of the motor housing. The ball bearing S-2 model's motor was slightly more 'squat' and did not have the 'hump' (which is where the oil was placed). The Hoover, interestingly, is a 575. One would...
