    Lux 1205 help

I bought a 1205 off of ebay, and it came to me "dead" Seller said it worked when it was shipped. I would almost send it back, but it has a pristine wand sheath, white stripe on blue hose, which has little if any suction loss, and an immaculate PN-1, so I want to fix it. This will be my first lux...

    Vintage eBay thread #2

Brian People can say what they want, but in my opinion, the "rugulator" height ajustment was one of the best made. I own several "dial a naps" and earlier eurekas with high/low rear axle, but rugulator could actually be set for just about every carpet type in the house, and really "fine tune"...

    DAM brush roll bearings

Does anybody know where I can buy a brushroll bearing(pulley side) for a U6007? Hesco doesn't have them anymore. I picked this vac up yesterday, along with a very nice hoover portable from CL at 15.00 for the pair. It's in excellent shape but it's absolutly filthy. The only problem is the...

    Vintage eBay thread #2

Brian I have a "vanguard" very similar with "full" tool kit. Mine is a 2081A with chrome hood rather than white, and a "lamae" squaretop bag. I'll bet this goes for a pretty penny!

    Does the world need this???

ture I'm not saying that this wouldn't be nice or useful in some places, but I'm not so sure about in a kitchen with children. I could see them spilling juice on the counter and, instead of wiping it up, taking their hand and "sweeping" the liquid into the vac. In the mind of a child, this...

    Does the world need this???

Dave, I third!!!!! Yeah, it's a neat idea, but, to affirm with Sandy's observation, I have children, and they have clogged up a shop vac! Just imagine what they could do with this!Need I say more.

    Eureka vibra beat

Sandy We come from a different generation that the kids today! lol My girlfriend has 5 children, ranging in age from 17 to 5. Needless to say, messes happen, so most of the living area is hardwood floor, with the exception of mine and Kristin's bedroom and the girls room, which is carpeted...

    Sanitaire Sc886 Vs. Kirby Sentra

OMG!!! It's been a REALLY LONG WEEK! LOL You drill a hole in the "wall" directly behind the brushroll, 1/2 inch down from the rugplate.(when rugplate is attached) One hole on each side. Thank-you Trebor for bearing with me! lol I can't wait to try it.

    OMFG!!!

not a bad idea!! Sure, why not!!!! I'm always game. My girlfriend thinks I'm nuts anyway! LOL

    Sanitaire Sc886 Vs. Kirby Sentra

Trebor........ GOOD GOD!!! I am dense!!! LOL I'm drilling into the "wall" of the air chamber/tunnel! If I'm thinking/figuring right, the holes should be almost right above (with the vac upside down) the rugplate fasteners, only in the air chamber wall. Am I still "dense", or have I got it?

    Eureka vibra beat

I've had it!!! The kids have destroyed their last powerhead!!!! That being said, does anybody have a vibra-beat nozzle they would sell? I'd like to get ahold of a white/beige one, but color really doesn't matter. I'm going to pair this with an old, dented up "princess" I have, and this is what...

    Sanitaire Sc886 Vs. Kirby Sentra

Trebor I just got home from work and I'm either really tired, or having a "dense" moment, or it could be a combination of both, lol but I don't get it! Are you talking about drilling into the fan chamber, 1/2 inch from the edge of the fan opening, kind of in the area of the "belt guides"? I...

    Current canister vacuums

LMAO!!! but remember, the PN-4 had 3 versions that I know of. aluminum, brown, and gold. I'm kinda keeping an eye out for a PN-4B (I think) Anyway, the brown one. lol I do have a really nice "olympia" that I wouldn't mind putting together. Do you know anybody looking for an electrolux CB? I've...

    Current canister vacuums

Sandy You hit it right on the head. Personally, for suction, my royal 4750 is better, but it only has 3 stages of filter. The royal has a hayden powerhead, which is better than most. My tri star powerhead is close, only because I have a couple of NOS VG I's and I've got one in it. I've never...
