My Silver King shipping disaster from GreatVacs

I had good experience with them with them. I ordered a G4 but they were out of stock so they upgraded me to the Ultimate G Diamond Edition for free. They accidentally sent me two spot cleaners instead of one shampoo and one spot cleaner and forgot the Zip brush so they made up for by sending me...

What is the worst vacuum from the past 20-ish years?

Dirt Devil Breeze bagless The exhaust was in the front so it blew stuff everywhere and the curtains would go flying and occasionally the dust cup would fall off spill. Plus it was a PAIN to clean the filter. BTW the that Power Cast... how is the hose connected? I've seen one in person.

    Dirt Devil Breeze

Pretty poor quality vacuums. I use to have one and the dust bin fell off and exhaust would blow everything around. It did have a separate hose for above floor and carpet cleaning though.

    Kirby ultimate carpet cleaner?

Absolutely the vacuum I ever used! Plus, I know people like to have separate canisters but I really like to use them with the hose. @sptyks Do they still make the everlast with the headlight? I've looked on their website and the advertisement shoes it but the page for the vacuum doesn't. Also...

    What is your bag preference?

Cloth HEPA bags! They allow for more and better air flow even as the bag fills. From my experience, even when cleaning up fine debris like baking soda the loss of Airflow is reduced. Plus, the outer bag and fill tube stay nice and clean!

Request to the Miele Company - Lightweight Upright Please

That would be great! I'd love to see a Miele direct air vacuum.

    The right kind of crazy...

Commercial vacuum or a Kirby. Direct air vacuums like Sanitate, Royal all metal and Kirby are the best cleaning carpets and are bulletproof. Now Kirby's will work on hard floors but you might want to use the hard floor tool in canister mode or get the hard floor plate. If you get one of the...

    DirtDevil Ultra hand vac.

Rivstg1 I had forgotten I posted that! I'm going to have to try that out pretty soon because it is a pretty powerful vac for it's price. Man, I wish they'd make an Upright like their old Broomvac.

    Kirby Avalir 2?

@cibibikeru When you said textile bag container did you mean the outer bag? If so that's a big plus for me since the G series has small bags then the classic

    Hoover fans, need your thoughts...

Its the "Anniversary WindTunnel S3670". I did some research online but really couldn't find much on aside from a 599 brand new one from Amazon and positive reviews. Looks like a nice buy for 60!

    Bag/bagless observations

I'm a bagged man (That's sounded weird I know) Anyways, not only is it moresanitary and easier to clean (especially for pet owners) I think they look nicer and last longer especially the direct air vacuums. Dotn get me wrong theres still a fe bagless I like but I love the simple bagged...

    It happened ...

Both worried and excited I'm afraid they mig butcheapen the design but maybe they'll release cheeper Sanitare like uprights for their residential vacuums. It'd be nice to see direct air vacuums at Walmart again

Kirby Avalir 2 Questions - Am I doing it right?

For hard floors I usually just use it in upright mode with the power nozzle one click up from the lowest setting. I only turn off the brush roll or use the floor attachment when picking up larger stuff like cat litter. I'd like to to know how the attachment that goes on the nozzle works though...

New Account (AGAIN); Last Bissell Machine Worth A Damn

Bissell 3760-1 Lift-off Revolution? It worked good for a Bissell and even had brush roll shut off (which forsome reason turned off the headlight) and the plastic felt like a higher quality than the one now. Only problem it was a pain to clean.

Need something to keep Kirby from picking up runner.

Thanks, low speed and holding the rug fown down is doing the best so far like Huskey said. And of course the floor took works but I want the use brush roll on it. I'm glad the main rugs don't have the "bathroom" rug backing. Man, even when 3/4 full of cat litter and on low Its a beast.

Need something to keep Kirby from picking up runner.

@dysonman1 Yep, not as bad but on the back stroke it rolls up a bit. I can still clean it but its harder than it should be.

Need something to keep Kirby from picking up runner.

I got two area rugs in my house and they have backing like real carpet and just got the matching runner. Now since the runner has a rubber backing like a bathroom rug my UltG Diamond is picking up the whole thing when on the back stroke. Does anyone know of anything I can put on it to prevent...

    Vacuum bag fragrance

I mostly use fabric sheets or Laundry scent boosters (mostly accidentally because I still them a lot). I've seem that Kirby had some scent tablets and drops to put in the bag but haven't tried them yet. If possible get charcoal bags, from what I hear they do a really good job.

    Newest Vacuum for my Collection!

Nice! I always thought the duo was better as stick/quick clean up vac. The front roll looks like it would make it lose airflow for deep cleaning if you had the upright. I really like how it has interchangeable batteries which is something all manufacture should use
